B.J. Mullens, Budinger or Hansborough.

None of the above please. But if i had to take one, it would definitely be Hansborough. Budinger will be a taller JJ Reddick(minus the defense), and BJ Mullens, well lets just say that is my pick to be a complete BUST.

At this point, I think Ainge should stay away from the draft unless he plans on making a trade to dump some of the projects we already have.  With Giddens, Walker, Tony Allen, and possibly Gabe Pruitt still on board for next year, this roster doesn't need anymore players that have "potential," but can't be relied on to contribute.

If Tony Allen comes back next season he will be a 2 million dollar a year bench warmer. I don't think he'll be back.

The thing about Tony Allen is that if he can fully recover from his knee surgeries this year he can be as good a bench player as there is in the league.
That being said I'd like to see him be traded for a good SF like Nocioni in a salary dump move.

I believed that in 2007-2008. I wanted to beleive it last year. I'm not prone to anymore wishful thinking about tony allen, although I hope other GM's are.

Lawson
Ellington
Buddinger
Hansbrough
Casspri
Young

All are interesting, it just depends on what else is needed on our roster. If we keep Big Baby and sign McDyess, why sign another PF?

I think Lawson has the most talent, but who knows?

Hansbrough is tough and scores in the paint, makes his free throws. I dont see as any more than an effort guy destined for 2nd-3rd string minutes in the league. Is he redundant?

Is Buddinger's future as a Wally 'Z' lite?

Sam Young or BJ Mullens

also want a 2nd rounder, Danny Green, Josh Heytvelt, or Jeff Pendergraph

Time to round out this bench with four year players who can contribute by mid season.

what is with people liking BJ Mullens. He looks like O'Bryant 2.0  I imagine P Obryant also looked that good in high school and college. People say Mullens has great athleticism, but I just dont see it. Why, because he catches alleyoops? He better, he's 7 foot something. Im all set with him. I give him a good 2-3 years in the league before he's waived and ends up playing in Europe where all the softies end up going.

And to add to my post above, if for some reason we do get a first round pick, we also don't need anymore projects at the 2/3 spot unless we dump 1-2 of our current 2/3 projects.  The last thing we need is another wing with potential to go along with Giddens, Walker, and Allen.

Ainge has got to clear out some of his "prospect" deadwood to make room, if you want a pick from this year's draft. We can't afford the depth of unproven questionmarks we had on the bench last year.

Of the players you listed, I would go with Chase Budinger, as he seems the most likely of the ones you listed to step in and contribute next season.  The player I really like who could be available in the late teens is Jeff Teague (but imagine he would be gone by late 1st).

If other teams are scared off by his greek contract, i wouldn't mind taking a 2nd round flyer on Calethas, then bringing him over in a couple years. i think he's pretty underrated, can play the 1/2.

Collison would be a solid pick late in the first round, as would lawson (a steal if he lasts that long). Also would have to take a look at Daye and maynor.
