The fear he showed in passing up that late three to give Rondo a buzzer beater floater really bothered me. I want a confident, almost cocky, Marbury on offense and he is so tentative that he is hurting this team. Take the shot Marbury.

I agree. He's not an all an offensive asset, and I don't know if he ever will be. He never shoots the ball the same way twice.

But I'll take my hat off to him for the D tonight.

I'd like to watch him shoot during practice - I'm just curious about how his shot falls when it doesn't matter.  I seriously think that this is just a confidence issue and they'd fall if he thinks they'd fall.

It's a shame that he didn't take that shot, though - if he makes that, his confidence skyrockets and I think he becomes a force to be reckoned with for the rest of the playoffs.

TA played great defense on Gordon.  That foul at the end wasn't a foul.
wow you really hate Marbury, to say TA played great D is ridiculous .

He's a bonehead. Like everything good he does, he wiped it all away with a rediculous mental error. Can him and let the door hit him on the butt on the way out.

Steph's guilty of something that's endemic at times with this team: Refusing to attack the rim and settling for jumpers. That got us in big trouble in the second half.

And I agree about Tony. We're chasing championships here, not running an expansion team. He's got to go.

The foul on the 3 was stupid and a shame because other then that TA gave us great minutes defending Gordon. For game 6, I would play TA ahead of House. The Bulls are sticking on House and he can't get a shot off. I'd rather go with TA and his defense and make Gordon work harder for his shots. TA also gives more help on the boards and in terms of athleticism.

To a degree, perhaps. He's just not smart enough to leave out there for any extended period of time. Again, I'm fine with running him out there for a couple of minutes, and then hustling him out before his brain vapor-locks again.

It's just a shame we don't have a competent three behind Pierce. A real shame that will continue to haunt us throughout the playoffs.

I know Tony can make some bone-headed plays, but I still think we need him big time in this series. Sometimes on Rose, sometimes on Gordon and perhaps sometimes on Salmons, who Pierce has a hard time staying in front of.

These guys have so much speed in the backcourt and at the three, we need tony to get Pierce and Ray some Rest. His defense can be used throughout each game on all of these small guys they have.

I also like marbury's D on both Gordon and Heinrich, he's done a decent job. I'd use both Marbury and TA to get Ray and Pierce more rest.

I'd rather have Marbury playing D on any of the three guards that chicago has rather than Tony Allen.
Also, I don't know what happened to Starbury with that shot.

He's hit big 3balls before for us in previous games.

Tony's going to have to play. I agree with that. Doesn't mean I'd play him if all things were equal, but they're not.

The trick is to keep his time situational, to minimize his mental mistakes hurting this club - as one did tonight.

Tommy Heinsohn came this close to saying that Gordon was playing Tony like a fiddle mentally in the overtime. He went instead with the pitcher vs. batter baseball analogy of fastball, fastball, curveball. But he is completely correct. Giving Gordon extended minutes on Tony is like inviting Gordon to shoot 25 free throws in a game. He will head fake, body fake, juke and jerk Tony into the air so much you'ld think Tony had wings because he'd be in the air m,ore than he would on the ground.

Gordon is not only a dangerous shooter he is an extremely intelligent offensive player that can take a less than smart defender like Tony to task for 50 points easy and have Tony fouled out in no time. I'll stick with Ray clutching and grabbing and hitting Gordon and making Gordon chase him around on the defensive end and hope the officials give both players a pass on the physicality and take my chances on that match up that way all day before relying on Tony to do anything against Gordon for any amount of time.

Marbury is affraid to take the big shot, you obviously cant trust him on offense at the end of the game, but you can definitely get some good minutes out of him when Ray needs a rest

TA just got back from his injury. I think Doc played him instead of Marbury because he knows that we will need TA if we advance from this series.

It is much safer to have TA getting used to playing again against the Bulls than the Magic or Cavs. He really didn't do that bad either, it was just that one mistake.
