ESPN has a lengthy (for them) article on Noah:  http://espn.go.com/chicago/story?columnist=greenberg_jon&id=4104510

I've seen a lot of venom directed at Noah on game chats.  Personally, I don't hate the kid, though frankly I kinda hate looking at him.  Wish he'd shave more regularly, but I think most NBA'ers could stand a shave before coming to work.

Anyway, I'm curious as to why people get so riled up by this guy.  Thoughts?  Opinions?

He's emotional and shows it. People sense a weakness from that maybe?

I've hated him ever since college if you remember his speaches and his dances after their championships. Can't stand what he looks like or how he acts, I think it is natural to hate emotionan players that hit their chest that is why a lot of people hate KG but Noah hasn't earned what KG earned and hes just so ugly and for whatever reason espn or tnt will have a close up of him at every whistle

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
We should all stop hating Joekim Nowah. Its like the anti tinkerbell. If you stop hating him he stops being good.

Noahs awful. Hes a whiner, an instigator, taunts players with that "I'm the friggen man and your not face" when he is blatantly being a moron...

Plus he looks like a Who from Whoville...

I think he looks too much like a thin Varejao (obviously it's the hair).  And yeah, way too many closeups on those two.

or his jumpshot for that matter.  he looks like he is setting a volleyball out there.

why do NBA coaches allow horrible shooters to continue to use their horrible mechanics?

i dunno... i wouldn't mind seeing him get his skull kicked in.

I think I turned on him when he made some dunk and put his finger up to his lips to hush the Boston fans.  I just don't like the cut of his jib.

I turned on Dwight HOward earlier this year when we played against him... he hit something like 2 shots in a row in the first few minutes of the game and ran down the court dramatically looking at his hand as if he had superpowers.   I think he finished with 8 points in that game ... haven't liked him since.

What I hate about him is I don't know what all the chest bumping is about.  Sure he is athletic but he is an adequate (at best) defensive center, and his offensive game is non-existent, except for wide open dunks.

I have no problem with Ben Gordon, D Rose, Hinrich or Salmons being expressive and antagonistic b/c they are players.  Noah is a 7ft & that's it.  He's a stronger Mikki Moore with a crap attitude and sense of entitlement.

I've turned on three NBA-related entities this season:

#1 - Portland Trailblazer fans -  No group of fans has ever made me sour on a team I planned on rooting for.  They are right up there with Toronto Raptor fans as far as negatively impacting my view of a squad.

#2 - Dwight Howard - Wasn't impressed with some of his antics this season.  He had an important game against Boston and was posing after every dunk and hamming it up like he was Shaq.  Rubbed me the wrong way.

#3 - Noah - Obnoxious little asstard who I hate more than the entire Bulls organization combined.  I can live with Ben Gordon making his three and pulling some goofy hand symbol that his bench mimicked... I don't blame Gordon for cupping his testes ala Sam-I-Am after a huge game-tying shot... but Noah jumping around like a lune and over-celebrating a dunk, purposely going out of his way to irritate our bench and our fans... just isn't kosher.

I don't see any problem with Noah. He works hard and plays with energy. That is a good thing.

I hate his hair though. Atrocious.

Most fans who gets bent out of shape when opposing players celebrate dunks are hypocrites, since most of them are fine when their own players do it. KG is as bad as it gets when it comes to taunting. Perk is pretty bad too. Posey was kinda evil, making comments to fans even. Doesn't bother me though.

I like watching Noah play. Good player, great effort and I love the rebounding.
