Although I would love to see KG play he should just get the surgery. If, and thats a big if, he comes back I would assume he would be nowhere near full strength, you cannot go from out for the playoffs to full strength in a few days. And without a fully healthy KG we still are not beating the cavs especially with an overly tired Paul Pierce.
I do not want to be a pessimist but this is the truth and it is hard to admit but this year is not our year
I disagree. Our window to win championships is pretty small. If he can come back, and we can win one this year, it's a worthwhile risk. If he destroys the knee completely (God forbid) then he can retire next year and his salary will become the greatest trade chip in all the land!! I know that's harsh, but no guts, no glory. The guy has had a long career. Being cautious with the knee isn't really something he/we can afford, time-wise. All our guys are getting older. If he packs it in until next year, who knows what could happen to Paul, Ray or Rondo by that time. Nope. We need to go for it all right here, right now.
Kevin just needs to rub some dirt on it and walk it off. This could be our last year. If he literally can't play well, and he hurts the team on the court, then he shouldn't suit up. But if he can help us even a little bit, we need him out there. Knee injury, schmee injury.
