Mike Tarico(sp?) just said Lebron James took 1 more free throw than the whole Pistons team in this series. How is that even possible?

And you're surprised? I'm not. He's been shooting more FTs than anyone all season long.
Let's go C's!!!

I don't understand he doesn't need the help he's the best player in the league.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

What help? He simply draws more fouls than the entire Detroit team. I believe that, if necessary, he could score more points single-handedly than them also.

yea he's been shooting more free throws than anyone but a whole team for 4 games? that is just a joke and PP can't even get to the line( not that I want him there with the game on the line, just saying...)

Hes the king is their any suprise here? He gets to the line when he gets touched and they ton't call fouls on him. I can't say I am overly suprised about this.

LBJ is a physical beast and often drives to the rim which such intensity that there is almost always contact.  Given the fact that he is a superstar, he is going to get the benefit of the doubt most of the time from referees.  His game of attacking the basket translates to a lot of free throw opportunities.  I'm not saying that all the FTs are warranted but his game suggests that he is going to draw contact.

59 ft attemps for King James,58 for D.Pistons,he's averaging almost 15 attempts per game so far in the playoffs.I don't think he will keep it up as the playoffs go deeper.Pistons weren't exactly attacking the paint, but 15 attempts is a bit much for 1 player per game.

meanwhile, Pierce can get continously mugged on every trip to the basket and even on the perimeter, and he can't buy a call.

exactly,it used to be the longer a player(10yr.vet) was in the NBA,the better his chances were to get calls, not the case anymore.
