Here's a thought:

Maybe next year Pierce is fresher in April and May - if Danny figures out that he needs a little help off the bench.

With that said, I would have liked to see the ball in Ray's hands more often in the last two minutes of the second OT - or Rondo penetrating, but he clearly wasn't thinking about doing that.

No, I'm not kidding but yeah it probably is an over reaction to a tough loss. He just doesn't look like who he was, and it really ticks me off seeing him make as many dumb mistakes on the court as Tony Allen. But I guess you can attribute that to tiredness and put that one on Danny Ainge's shoulders. I still think, however, we should do something to draft Tyler Smith he is a legit NBA talent, could sub in for Pierce now and could become the starting SF once Paul's days are done.

Did he look like his old self in game 3?

Actually no he didn't. Woo he had what, 27 points? What else did he do? No assists and ONE rebound. Yes it was a good performance but far from what he could do. Also, just would like to point out how funny it is how ****y people get after losses.

27 points may not seem like a lot but Pierce pretty much didnt play most of the 4th quarter if not all of it.  He could have had more rebounds I guess, but you cant really complain about the assists, Rondo is controlling the ball even more in this series than he did in the regular season (and rightfully so).  I do agree with you about people being p***y after losses, but isnt saying that in thread you started about trading our finals MVP of not even a year ago after a couple of so-so games a bit of the pot calling the kettle black??  or however that saying goes.

Im not saying Pierce couldnt be playing better, but calling him washed up isnt right.  He's clearly worn out, it almost reminds me of the year we made it to the conference finals in 01-02, then Pierce played in the Olympics over the summer, and by the time the end of the next season rolled around you could tell the tread was wearing on the tires, so to speak.  It wasnt as bad then as it is now I guess, but Pierce was also like 7 years younger then also.

It was a great.  It sucked to lose it, but it was a great game.

The 3rd quarter was a bit sloppy on both sides.  Besides that there were some excellent plays made by some excellent players.

If we want to play the blame game - pin this one on Perk.  He had played a nice game then he made 3 boneheaded and rushed a putback when he should have reset down the stretch.

Just wanted to put a thank you out there for those of you that responded with some respect rather then saying what a stupid idea it was or how ridiculous it was.

Hard to believe that BBD and Perk only had 2 or 3 free throws apiece. They were getting hammered all game not just Pierce. Don't mind a close game with clutch plays on both sides; but when perk fouled out I lost it - what a joke of a call.
