How about we move him at the end of the season and pick up Grant Hill and move up in the second or late first round and draft Tyler Smith and have him groomed as the heir to the throne of the SF forward position in Boston. I think the refs in the beginning took PP out. He had two clear fouls and and1 but no fouls called on bullz. Then he just disappeared late. Also a lot of blame goes to BBD. He cost us this game by himself. Missed at least 5 easy layups

Paul Pierce is not washed up, I put his strugles on Danny Ainge.
Not signing a legit wing to sub for PP, and expecting Pierce to play 38 min a game is terrible.  
He is not a young man anymore, and you have to get him more rest then you did when he was 25.  But because how this team was put together we have no depth at the wing to allow for resting PP.  This was brought up and disscussed at length during the off season.  But has been somewhat forgotten because the Celtics have played well enough to win 60.  Now it is comming back to bite us, especially in a double overtime game.  If the Celtics are forced to play 7 in the early rounds there is NO way this team can repeat.

Pierce got robbed by the refs all game today.  Almost every time he got the ball he was jumped all over and hammered and yet he hardly got any calls.  And then you have ridiculous calls down the stretch like that foul call when he almost stole the ball.  Absolutely unacceptable. 

I don't like preferential star treatment but in a league where LeBron gets a foul called if somebody breathes on him it's absolutely infuriating to see Paul Pierce get hardly any respect from the refs.  If Salmons was covering LeBron like that he would have fouled out in the 3rd quarter.

i'm tired of all this too .............  but paul pierce is exhausted right now - that's 2 seasons worth of fatigue btw. that's why he is not as sharp as last year - he is not washed up - have you watched the season ??

i know it's frustrating and painful - [dang] painful. the Celts must be still be burning off some awful karma .......... the injuries, the fatigue, ending up against the toughest lower seed 1st round matchup in the playoffs - which we got courtesy of cleveland on the last night of the saeson ....... and to top it off - another exhausting series.

Actually no he didn't. Woo he had what, 27 points? What else did he do? No assists and ONE rebound. Yes it was a good performance but far from what he could do. Also, just would like to point out how funny it is how p---y people get after losses.

He hit the three, and one possession earlier got an offensive rebound and a three-point play.  But he was pretty ineffectual most of the rest of the game, and missed a big free throw.

Talk of trading him is silly, though.  Even if you think it's somehow a good idea, you have to know it's not gonna happen.

No, I haven't. But that's because I tore out my ACL, MCL and meniscus and fractured my tibia in a high school game. Just haven't been able to recover from it, although it's not even been a year since my surgery.
