I don't see Walker getting any run in these playoffs even with all the injuries.  If he wasn't getting any meaningful minutes in the regular season, things aren't going to change now.

I think next season you'll see the kid out there but any hopes for these playoffs is wishful thinking.

Drastic measures such as more injuries, severe foul trouble, or a blowout situation are the only instances I can see him getting any action this spring.

ok. Perk is in at Center, BBD has 5 fouls, Mikki Moore has fouled out. halfway through the 4th quarter. who's playing power forward?

Well, I'm guessing Davis is still out there if its halfway through the fourth quarter and I wouldn't be shocked if Pierce had to play some at the 4 spot if necessary.  In limited minutes and against this Bulls squad, this wouldn't shock me at all.

EDIT:  Totally blanked there.  Scals is also a legit option now.

Is Walker even active if Scal is active on Wednesday? Either Pruitt or Walker is in a suit.

Unfortunately, there's an open roster spot with Powe getting injured. But in regards to Walker, I don't think he'll get more then 3-4 minutes(if that) tomorrow with Scal back. I think the team was expecting to play Walker 10-15 minutes after learning of Powe's injury (and knowing Moore will get 5 fouls in 3 minutes), but with Scal back he'll be able to give us those 10-15 minutes tomorrow.

Again it has to be asked, where exactly does this idea that Walker would be seeing more minutes come from. Did a team official say something or is this just wild, rampant speculation on the part of Walker lovers everywhere.

Last year Tony Allen was a four year veteran with at least a proven track record of being able to give some quality minutes and was a good to very good individual defender. He saw next to no minutes of playoff time with that team.

Granted, that team was healthy, but does anyone really think that Doc Rivers is going to trust Bill Walker, a player with a whole 216 minutes of professional experience and who doesn't show any sign that he gets how to defend at a playoff level, with minutes when he has Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Brian Scalabrini and Tony Allen in front of him on the depth chart?

I just don't see how anyone can look at Doc's coaching history and think that he is going to give a completely unproven rookie any quality, meaningful minutes in a playoff game where the Celtics appear to need to capitalize on each and every possession of the basketball in order to win and move on. I just don't see it happening. Unless there's a blowout or Walker is in to play the last 20 seconds of a quarter, half or game, he isn't going to be playing.

Mikki said it... it's in the celtics.com audio archive.

Agree completely...if Walker plays its going to be suprising...look for TA and Scal to get their cuts first...

Mikki speculating on Walker's role increasing isn't exactly what I would call a reliable source for insight into who Doc Rivers is going to use to fill the void left behind by Leon. He might be right but I seriously doubt it.

Walker is a good part of why we got the second seed, he's not necesarilly playing exceptional ball, but his body being out there during the injuries allowed BBD and Mikki to stay pretty well rested. if he wasn't here we wouldn't have had anybody to put out there. and i don't think you can just "call up" players from europe.

definite NO on the europe idea.

If he was in Europe he would not have taken up a roster spot. We could have signed Adoynle Foyle or another veteran.

You argument that he was a warm body that rested BBD and Mikki is ridiculous. I hope you're being sarcastic. He played a total of 216 minutes this season. Marbury coming as late as he did played 414 minutes, Moore played 456.
