Unrestricted-no strings attached 2009 Free Agent Bigs...

Ok fellas, unless I missed someone, this is the list of 'will-be-availiable" bigs on the summer of 2009.  Some will be available for a reason(i.e. RLaFrentz/TRattliff) and others could be taken for the cheap and be a difference maker for a contender like the Cs:

Oviously, if I could I would start with LOdom.  But all things consiered LOdom isn't walking thru that door, So what would your top 4 look like?

That's really the list from what I can tell.  In any case, we need somebody who is 6'10'' minimum, preferably 6'11'' or 7'.  We can't afford to take on a guy who is less than 6'10'' because of our lack of height.  McDyess would perhaps be acceptable despite his lack of height.

Man, that list gave me a headache and made me slightly nauseous.  But since ya got me started . . .

Odom is bloody unlikely unless he's decided he hates Kobe and Pau as much as we do.  Nesto maybe?  D. Gooden was hammering the Mavs last night so he can still go, and the pair of Pistons still have a little left.  And Rasheed has that jumper Doc likes for his bigs.  R. Swift if Danny's still interested.

I like this list, although I would replace Rasho with Joe Smith. 

Really though, Sheed and Zaza are the only two who I think would make a significant impact, if the C's can hold on to Davis and Powe.

That said, everyone's first choice, Rasheed Wallace, is a long shot - no more likely to sign here than Odom. For what? The MLE and a bench role? Cross him off the list.

Chris Anderson is going to get over paid.

If the Celtics somehow fail to re-sign one of Powe or Davis, then move Brandon Bass to the front of the line.

I guess I stand alone on this one, but I like Wilcox. He's 6'10", athletic and active. I think he could be good to great for us. I don't think he's that old either. Is there a reason why nobody else mentions him? On short money, he'd be solid.
