We have all this talk about whether we can win or we cant.  I think that theres a general consensus that we CAN win it with the team that we have given that we play great defense and are extremely efficient.  All that said and the way the Celtics played the other day...How bad do you want it?  Be honest here how bad do you want this championship? I wont get a ring and I wont kiss the trophy or taste the champagne but I want this one ALOT.  This would be such a great story of a team overcoming obstacle after obstacle.

Now I ask you..how bad do you want it?
The NBA..where "this whole sport is a business and the referees decide games and David Stern is a snake and is only in this for the money" happens.

Well, I'll venture an honest reply.  I don't believe that without KG this team is a championship contender.  That doesn't mean that I would not be ecstatic if somehow this team wins number 18 this year (injuries to Howard, Lebron and Kobe would do it), but we are just not one of the best 2 teams right now and we'll have to go through 2 (maybe 3) better teams to win.  In the NBA, it's very hard for a less talented team to prevail in a seven game series -- especially without HCA.

I said at the beginning of the year that the rest is gravy after winning #17 last year.  When we traded for KG, I prayed for ONE championship and although I will root with insane enthusiasm for more, I am genuinely satisfied with the KG era already.

My final point is that I hate the Lakers almost as much as I love the C's.  I'm not proud of that, as it is silly to feel that passionately negative about a team.  But, since I do feel that way, I deeply dread the thought of the Lakers beating the C's in the finals (my nightmare) -- as would happen in my opinion without KG.  And, since I think the only thing that brings us to the FInals is an injury to LeBron, I am feeling myself gearing up for a rapid and temporary morphing into a Cavaliers fan.  If it can't be a Celtics win, then my heart is all about 'beat LA'.  I want #18 bad, but I want no part of Laker #15.

Not as much as I want the Stanley Cup for the Bruins... but I would be pretty happy. I'm a big fan of the Bruins this year though.

I want it so bad that during that bad game in Cleveland after the 1st quarter I blasted "It Ain't Hard to Tell" by Nas and Marbury hit that jumper to start the 2nd.  Last year during the 3rd Qtr of Game 4, I started playing "Lex Coups de Beamers & The Benz" by Lost Boyz and went crazy when we had the comeback from behind win.  I go crazy during the games.

Last year it was a real pleasure to watch the Celtics play. This year we didn't watch Celtics basketball except in some sporadic games. We don't move the ball as good as last year and we don't defend with the same passion and as a consequence of that we are suffering to win almost every game. Anyway, i am ready to suffer and if we win it all, i will enjoy it as much (or even more)as we did last year!! Go Celtics!!

I agree with everything you said except the whole being satisfied with one championship thing. I want the PGA crew to win it at least twice... I feel like anything less would be underachievement from them. Winning it twice would cement their legacy... Paul, Ray, and KG would all definitely be HOF-bound like they deserve. Of course, if they don't win it twice I wouldn't be devastated... devastation would be this group of players being assembled and never winning a darn thing. But yeah, I'd really, really like to see them win it twice.
