I stil maintain that he'll be back, but I also don't buy the "he's a distraction" angle.
Ask any media person, actual Celtic player, fan, anybody they will tell you that while KG wasn't the best offensive player on the celtics last year and last post season, they wouldn't have traded a minute he played because A) he's a defensive beast, and B) he's the heart of this team.
By all counts he's selfless, and passionate, possibly to a fault. Anyone who says they don't want a guy like that on their team, even in street clothes if nessecary, is lying. Its not like he's an ex girlfriend these guys need to put outta their head to move on with their lives...he's a freakin teammate man. Let him scream from the bench.
I will also say this, and I will first qualify it with: I know its not the same exact thing
But in 12 grade during my football senior game (last home game of the regular season), at the end of the first half, I got chop blocked, 2 guys, same knee. Problem is that I was 290 pounds, and my leg stayed still. Anyone who knows football knows that 2 things can happen there; one, nothing or two, a lot of bad stuff starting with torn ligaments. That means cya for a minimum of a month or six.
Well anyways I sulked, skipped practice the next few days, concentrated on girls and school...but then I show up to practice the following thursday and my coach cornered me and screams at me. He tells me darn it, Im a captain on this team, and he doesn't care if I need a wheelchair to get around (which didn't, jsut crutches), I will be there for all the pre game stuff on friday and I will not miss another practice. We're a team, and a team sticks together even if they're hurt.'
So I don't care about how angry KG gets, he ought to be on the bench. Thats how teams work.
