Well then, going on similar lines, are we built for the playoffs?
This is a legit question, actually. I'm honestly not sure if our offense is the optimal scheme to win a championship. We did fine last year because we had one of the best defenses in the history of the NBA (statistics prove this). So it didn't matter that we were a bit flawed offensively. But this year, without KG, our defense and rebounding clearly aren't as impressive.
Having a drive and kick style, with barely any post up game to speak of, handicaps us in a tough, grind it out series. I'd really like to see Perk get 12-15 post ups a game. He's not going to make everything. But if the opposition has to scheme to stop him, then that'll open things up for our primary options to go to work. Besides the fact that Perk is an adept passer out of the post, he did shoot a very high percentage this year. And he plays more beastly defense the more he touches the ball on offense. That can never be a bad thing!!
