I'm glad that we now know what the situation is. Hopefully we can pull it off this year and KG comes back next year healthy and ready to go and he helps us win some more championships.

Exactly. This is shaping up as a critical off-season for the Celtics' short-term future.

Let's hope it goes better than last summer.

yeah because Posey would have made a huge difference yesterday....

Actually, a three to come off the bench, muscle Gordon around a little and hit some perimeter shots would have been a perfect second half move.

Except we don't have one.

No matter. We're talking about Garnett, not Ainge and Wyc's big mistake last summer.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

  • Rondo = Good
[dang] straight Posey would have made a difference yesterday.  Put him in there for Ray and maybe he actually makes some shots, especially the big ones in the 4th quarter.  That's what he did for us last year.

  • There can only be one.
And according to this, Garnett is walking around and dribbling in the practice facility. Can't really determine from the article if it's good news or not, but he seems to be in good shape.

1. We can get rhoguh the first two rounds without KG if we decide we acutally want to play basketball instead of dicking around.

2. IF there is a possiblity that KG might get well enough to play with another 3-4 weeks of rest and therapy to let the area settle down and heal more and IF he is not in agonizing pain 24/7 and IF he can't hur thte knee anymore by playing and it's just a pain managment issue.

3. Basically he should just ocntinue therapy and rest until we are out of the playoffs and then have surgery scheduled

People sometimes make a sharp turnaround ( look at Powe ) a week before he came back he thought it might be another month ) and we shouldn't count that possiblity out with KG either.

Except KG's injury is much worse than a bruise (at least as far as we know).

I think he would have.  We only lost by 2 points.  I'm betting that Posey would have knocked down at least one of those 3's Ray or Eddie couldn't knock down, plus our defense would have been better.

It is bizarre, but I hardly call dribbling around the perimeter of the court for four minutes practicing. Although you do have to wonder what was going on there.
