Rondo, Hmm id have to say hes [dang] i dont even know. who would Rondo be?

I think you guys are looking at it all wrong.

Rondo himself is probably Luke.

I'm not the biggest Star Wars nut here, but it seems pretty obvious to me.

This trilogy is all about Rondo's quest to learn the force from guys like KG and Ray.  I'll let you decide which one is obi-won and which one is Yoda.  I'll say Ray is Obi-Won cuz he's old and wise... KG is Yoda, cuz Yoda is practically insane the first time you see the muppet, but he's clearly the most powerful Jedi.   Han = Pierce.  Perk = Chewbacca

Think about it, though.  Blowing up the Deathstar is like Rondo's game 6 performance in the finals:  21 points, 8 assists, 7 rebounds and 6 steals.

He's taking some knocks this year, but is almost there.

By Part 3 (next year) he'll be a full blown Jedi Knight leading this squad.

BTW... the "Jedi" thing is a parallel for "Celtic Pride".   It flourished from the 60s-80s, but was massacred over a 20 year period.  This Trilogy is all about bringing back "Celtic Pride" ... and Rondo is the young padawan who is going to lead us for the next decade... which will presented as a series of crappy novels.

Star Wars

A New Hope- the galaxy (boston) has fallen on hard times, Luke Skywalker (KG and Ray) joins the Rebels (Celtics) and helps them defeat the Empire (Lakers) and blow up their Deathstar.

Empire Strikes Back- The Empire is seeking revenge and is now stronger becuase it is focused on its enemy(Celtics). Han Solo is captured and slaved (KG). And despite not being prepared Luke attempts to fight Vader and does an impressive job, but ultimately is defeated and limps home.

Return of The Jedi- Luke Skywalker returns stonger than ever, he saves Han Solo, and characters that were originally side characters step up to become major factors (Princess Leia) Skywalker and friends blow up the new and improved Deathstar... only this time the empire is dead for good.

so if last year was A New Hope, and this year is Empire.... then next year should be very very good.
