TP, that's exaclty what I have been thinking, this team can still do it. We beat LA by 40 in the finals last year, we crushed the cavs+refs without KG not too long ago.

Just to stuff it in the Lakers and Cavs face.

This team is good enough.  With Pierce playing the best ball of his career and Baby putting up 20/10 in Kevin's place, we still have a fighter's chance.

I am what I am because of who we all are

Don't stop believing, Boston.

A little bad language but the first scene is appropriate for the situation the C's are in, a little.  ;)

Thats right. We were prepared for this anyways so lets go do business. Paul Pierce is a HOF he's son a scoring title he's considered one of the best players at his position in the past 10 years. Ray Allen... also a HOF, best shooter in the history of the NBA but is also a very good all around SG, he's got the whole package. Rajon Rondo is the best defensive PG in the game and is top three floor general in the league, and hell he can get the hole at will against Derrick Rose, Ray Alston, Mo Williams, Tony Parker, Mario Chalmers, Andre Miller or any other PG he might match up against. PERK IS A BEAST, the best C in the league is Dwight Howard and its Perks ability to contain Superman that will allow us to beat The Magic without the Big Ticket. Big Baby and Leon will tag team and fight for every rebound and can hold their own on the offensive end, they've shown huge growth over the past year and i expect to see them make huge contributions going forward.

TP, all good points. And let's not forget that Eddie House and Marbury aren't chopped liver either. Certainly would be an uphill battle to win it all, but I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing a Cavs vs. C's Eastern finals, and I'd be shocked if the C's don't at least make it close.
Anyway, they won 62 games this year, let's not take that for granted. Whether it's Doc's coaching, or Danny just picking the right kind of people, they all play hard and won't quit(except for last Sunday).
Can't wait for the playoffs, this should be fun.

We are only one Lebron James and Kobe Bryant sprained ankle from the world correcting itself and winning title 18.

Do not forget both of those guys played all summer long and it is very clear that Kobe is wearing down.

Where is Jimmy Valvano's "Dont give up - Dont ever give up! How could that be missed?
And someday in the midst of time,
When they ask you if you knew me

Like LarBrd33, I have also made peace with myself; Hope its Lebron v Kobe. That should be quite a series- fanatism aside. Tiger wont win every tournament; so wont we.

Hey DL,can i have a sip,im thirsty,lol

Well pour me a glass, hell pour me ten glasses, cause I sure am thirsty, but not for Kool aid, I'm thirsty for the blood of Kobes and Lebrons. Oh sure they're great players, they can do it all, but where's the warrior spirit? The undeniable will to fight until you breath your last breath, the will to give it all for team and city, the will to die on the court for what is meant to be. I want their blood... and I want their souls too.

Oh it's not gonna be easy, not by a longshot, but in the end... in the end to the victor go the spoils. It's a rough high mountain to climb, but man the view from the top is fantastic. When Drago killed Apollo, Rocky didn't think about what to do next, he did the only thing there is to do... you fight with all your heart! Odds not in your favor, who cares, time waits for no man, and the day of reckoning is upon us! When you get punched in the face what do you do, you PUNCH BACK! You never give up! You tell Cleveland and Los Angeles, the Celtics are comin', AND HELLS COMIN' WITH THEM!!!!

I thought the same exact thing as soon as I saw the thread

the thread title made me think of that scene in Major League where they figure out that none of them are coming back.
