Know Doc & Co see a lot more of Pruitt than I do; but can help thinking this Marbury experiment is setting him (and potentially the team) back a bit in terms of Pruitt's long term development. As much as I like what Marbury can do in terms of setting the table, his D has not been anywhere near Pruitt's. Got to think it is a draw so far unless Marbury can start shooting with some consistency. Teams will just sag off him and force him to shoot.
Is Pruitt a long term prospect or does this single his final days as a Celtic? At least he seems to be playing with more urgency (or maybe it is just the Nick Young factor).
hit it on the head
pruitt was showing good things before marbury
his outside range and d are better than marbury but he doesn't seem to have the leadership quality/confidence
i think ultimately with a pg at rondos age we need a wily vet to back him up
if pruitt can stay here cheap i can see him being backup pg and sg
If pruitt was showing anything before Marbury got here, Marbury never would have gotten here.
I dont know about some of the people calling Gabe a good shooter or defender...hes neither, he shot an abysmal 30% from the field and 29% from 3, worse then a guy who was out of the league over a year, and quite frankly Marbury has shown a willingness to defend, and better then pruitt
MArbury minutes this season: 414
Pruitt: 366
And Pruitt shot a worse % then a guy out of the league over a year and has almost 40 less assists...newsflash: he stinks
