An old beat-up rehash of a post:
Ray Allen and Big Baby for Delonte West and Danny's non-pick (Jeff Green? Jianlian? I wanted Corey Brewer at the time....can you say "I was wrong"....i'm saying it now)
Anyway, the better Big Baby gets the better Danny looks in that trade, especially if Big Baby ends up eclipsing Jeff Green. Right now, imo, it's a wash. Either one can help a team a great deal. But I would argue that with Baby's jumper looking automatic at times, he can/eventually be the bigger impact guy, given his other attributes, energy, intelligence, etc...Bottom line for me is that I'd take either Jeff Green or Big Baby on my team and be very happy. But what do others think?
So, it's clear we won that trade big time, which I remember WHO announcing very loudly and clearly at the time, while bball media dude Jeff Goodman was not happy on trade night--I'd definitely hire WHO over Jeff Goodman as my NBA GM. (Goodman is so far off on his Rondo analysis and I'm just left wondering how this could be so....)
I'm such a huge Delonte West fan that I too was partly chagrined when that big Garnett-enabling trade went down. But we got the better of Seattle big time...and who says we can't get Delonte back some day?
Thanks again Danny.
