But in warm-ups, he is all over the place.  When he wasn't having a dunk contest with himself, he would be jumping up and down like a little kid, and you could tell he was annoying the hell out of the older players, trying to get them to pay attention to him as they are taking their shots.

Of course the other players are annoyed.  JR's trying to take over Little House' role on the team.

If Sean Williams is dancing around while the team tries to construct a game tying or winning play in the waning seconds of a tight game, then he is an idiot.

He just doesn't get it.

C'mon, he's just a kid himself.  Plenty of time for the "meathead" in him to wear off.  I'd be trying to impress the unbelievably hot girl behind me too, especially at his age!

As opposed to banning him from the C's, perhaps he could stand to learn a little self-discipline from KG, Ray and the gang.  Not that I want him in Boston, but I think we are being a bit judgmental.

1. He isn't a meathead, a meathead would be yelling and getting pumped about the game. Believe me when I tell you I am very familiar with meatheads. He is an idiot.

2. He got written up numerous times at BC for weed. I mean how many times do you get written up before you get the point. I am pretty sure you either don't care or your an idiot.

3. You are a pro athlete. You make 1.52 million a year, have some professionalism.

Look at his picture

He's also stupid to get written up in college for smoking weed in his room, cant be good for his basketball IQ

Co-sign with all of this.

JR is hilarious to watch on the bench, but he is always pulling for the team and seems to be on edge with every play.

With JR, it seems if you called him in, his head would explode and he'd be instant energy off the bench. With Sean Williams, if you called him in, he would be shocked and not be ready at all to play. That's just my perception.

hehe, i can't wait to go, but im an old man now, my partying days are long over. I was actually a pretty darn good student at umass, despite the partying on the weekends, so i don't think that will get in the way.

It will be fun to be back at an academic institution, but im still going to be working the day shift so ill have to give up what little fun i have left to focus on it :(

I agree with this.  Although I think as TA has shown at times, as well as plenty of other players in the past, instant energy is not always good energy.  JR needs to learn how to focus that energy, if he is going to be a successful NBA player.

This is why I think Walker is so far ahead of JR right now.  Even though I think JR has a more advanced skillset, Walker has shown the ability to focus his skills and energy into his role much better.

I really hope JR can do that soon, because his energy level and tools could make him one hell of an NBA player if he is able to learn to focus them.

Good call Chris. That's why I hate it when people are already labeling JR a bust. It's just that Bill Walker came as such a surprise, even to the organization, IMO. He responded unbelievably after having knee surgery. He also has the right personality because he felt like he belonged from day one. I mean, the guy got into it with KG in training camp. That's not normal for a typically star-struck rookie.

Don't call JR a bust because Bill Walker is ahead of him on the depth chart. We haven't seen what JR has in an NBA level game. He has shown NBA level skills in the DL that I personally think can translate well, but it's hard to gage at this point. You're right. Once he focuses his energy on the right things, it can be a very positive asset. It's just weird for him to be on the bench for the first time in his life, and he is using up his energy the only way he knows how: with hilariously entertaining reactions to every play on the court.

I think his college career off the court and continued scumbagery in the NBA judged him just fine on its own.

I've never heard the term "scumbagery" before, but I love it. TP.
