Last night my buddy and I decided to watch Sean Williams during timeouts. My seats are 4 rows behind the visitors bench so we had a pretty good view. Let me tell you, the guy is a one man show and it has nothing to do with basketball. He either has the worst case of ADD I have ever seen or he is just that dumb. He essentially danced to every song played last night. During MIA's "Paper Airplanes" he pretended to be shooting a maching gun during the gun sounds. During a Michael Jackson's "Dont Stop Till You Get Enough" he moon walked to the team huddle. During the "Twist" he was twisting away at the end of the bench while Lawrence Frank was trying to beat the Celtics in a 2 point game. If he wasn't dancing he was hawking the unbelievably hot girl in the first row behind him. He also at one point turned around and took a pic for her holding up two sideways peace signs.

Now I know his name gets brought up a lot on the blog as a possible trade option for  the C's. Yet I am pretty sure that if Big Baby got yelled at by KG for not being in the huddle, that KG would kill Sean Williams for his antics. Amazing skill sets, 6'10 can jump out of the gym, great defender and rebounder, but he has no interest in basketball.

So please no more trade ideas for Sean Williams unless it is for the Celtic's Dancers or to battle the little black kid who dances at the games.

It sounds like JR Giddens...and I am not kidding.  He is like an 8 year old hopped up on pixie sticks in warm-ups (and on the bench during the game).  I am not drawing any conclusions because of this, just saying that the C's have a hyperactive kid of their own.

If Sean Williams is dancing around while the team tries to construct a game tying or winning play in the waning seconds of a tight game, then he is an idiot.

He just doesn't get it.

I agree on all of Williams' negatives.  Anybody who puts getting high before his teammates doesn't belong in a Celtics uniform.

The one area I disagree with is your description of his positives.  Williams is *not* a great defender.  He's an exciting shot blocker, but that does equate to great, or even good, defense.  He's often out of position, going for the highlight reel rather than the smarter fundamental play.

Williams is probably in the top ten of players I never want near the Celtics.

TP for this thread, it really made me laugh when I envisioned Sean Williams dancing, even at crucial times in the game. ;D

Roy - You make a vaild point he isnt a great defender he a a nice shot blocker. Thanks for the clarification.

I forgot to mention that when TonY Allen had the reverse alley-oop he started acting like TA was his teammate until Brook Lopez said something to him and he then sunk his shoulders and put on a frown.

He really doesn't get it.

First time I have heard that JR Giddens is like that on the bench. The C's bench is to far away from me

to be fair to JR, he seems to actually be trying to hype his teammates and their success, not just things like rap songs playing on the PA.

He is the most over eager towel waiver around though, but i suppose thats better than having him sulk :D

I know its not a popular choice but I would add Kobe Bryant to that list. I know what you're gonna say: Kobe Bryant is so talented you'd be a fool not to want him but I really believe Kobe Bryant should never be a Celtic. I guess I'd put him somewhere between Kobe Bryant and Kobe Bryant on your top 10, and bump out Allen Iverson.

I agree that he is just energetic on the bench (although he would almost always be watching the fans on the jumbotron, instead of listening to the huddle...of course Sam Cassell would do the same thing).

But in warm-ups, he is all over the place.  When he wasn't having a dunk contest with himself, he would be jumping up and down like a little kid, and you could tell he was annoying the hell out of the older players, trying to get them to pay attention to him as they are taking their shots.

C'mon, he's just a kid himself.  Plenty of time for the "meathead" in him to wear off.  I'd be trying to impress the unbelievably hot girl behind me too, especially at his age!

As opposed to banning him from the C's, perhaps he could stand to learn a little self-discipline from KG, Ray and the gang.  Not that I want him in Boston, but I think we are being a bit judgmental.

I think his college career off the court and continued scumbagery in the NBA judged him just fine on its own.

1. He isn't a meathead, a meathead would be yelling and getting pumped about the game. Believe me when I tell you I am very familiar with meatheads. He is an idiot.

2. He got written up numerous times at BC for weed. I mean how many times do you get written up before you get the point. I am pretty sure you either don't care or your an idiot.

3. You are a pro athlete. You make 1.52 million a year, have some professionalism.
