Personally I think if they can do it for the minimum it's a no brainer.

Our QB is about 31 coming off a snapped ACL that had a hard time healing. He has won everything he can, has millions, and a supermodel wife.  That's a bad combination.

The backup was drafted in the third round last year and hasn't played.

Hopefully they do something about this position.

Personally I like Pat White in the draft but if Vick were 85% of what he was and motivated and cheap it's a no brainer. The man could run a hell of a Wildcat and he's so athletic he could help at other positions.

Also think of this.  Brady comes back and is maybe only 70-80% of what he was, gets hit again, and misses a third of the season.

In the mean time the Jets being led by a resurgent Vick with his past behind him head straight to the playoffs and look to be in excellent position.

Don't think that couldn't happen easily.

Michael Vick w/o all of his personality, reputation, and overall negative baggage still would not be a guy I counted on for anything. He cannot contribute football wise to a team like the Pats and he would bring a media circus with him. Let a team who needs that kind of attention sign him. It wouldnt be a bad idea to draft Pat White though.

Vick is going to be a huge distraction for any team that signs him.  Plus, if he's anything like his brother Marcus (and it seems like they share a lot in common) he's never going to "get it".  I hope he's out of the league, but assuming he isn't, I want him nowhere near my team (the Bears).

As much as I think Vick is a despicable human being for what he did to dogs, I also think he was made an example of and if he wasn't famous wouldn't have had nearly the legal problems and jail time that he did. That said, the man is going to have a media circus following him around where ever he goes and the distractions to his team and team mates is going to be significant. Then add to the fact that there's a better than even chance that he is going to have to convert to another position and that is only going to draw more attention his way and away from what needs to be done on the field.

If there was ever a place where Vick could go and the distractions wouldn't bother the team that much it's New England because Belichick just wouldn't would allow it to become an issue and might even cut off media access to alleviate the situation. That said, Bill will have nothing to do with Vick. Vick just doesn't seem to be the type of risk player that Bill would take a gamble on.

I can you even talk about Michael Vick being signed to any NFL franchise? Don't you have a heart and care about what he did to those dogs?

There is nothing positive to say about Michael Vick and he does not belong in the NFL.

Bob Kraft would never allow it to happen and I don't blame him.

It would be a disgrace if Vick is in the NFL.

I am 100000% against animal cruelty in any form. With that said, Vick has paid his debt to society and while it's your right to not like him, he should be reinstated. As far as him being able to help a team, I think he still can. He should and will be signed.

completely against it.

Vick was never a good QB.  the system he plays in needs to be designed for him.  if he played in our system he would be even worse then he already was.  not to mention he hasnt played competitively in how long?

The guy deserves to never play in the league again.

From a legal standpoint, the man has payed his penalty and should be allowed to sign with a team if they would take him (and the league reinstates him, which they are not obligated to do as of right now).

That being said, I would NEVER cheer him or support his success on the field.  I think what he did is disgusting and possibly sociopathic.  Any team that signs him has to deal with the potential media and public backlash.  Bob Kraft has poured too much money into his new project (Patriot Place) to risk ANY negative publicity that may hurt business.  Do you think he wants PETA protesting in front of his new high-end movie theater? I think not.

Even without the legal/moral condemnation of Vick, I am not sure you could see a worse fit on our team.  Even if we could remove all of the moral/legal issues, where would vick fit on this team?

I doubt he would be interested in coming in and being a backup QB - unless he thinks he could beat out the starter, which we all know wouldnt happen.

Even if we say for arguments sake that Brady got hurt again, I am not sure Vick is the kind of QB bill would like.  How many 'running' qb's has BB kept on the roster (as backups)?  none.  the system is about being able to hang in the pocket and deliver the throws, whether they are short or long.  it is all about decision making and accuracy.  Vick is not good at either of those.
