here's hoping its not a major injury, leon's already had questions about his knee's, and he was really emerging.

my guess is, its a sprain, and those are somewhat unpredictable in terms of recovery time. kg's was obviously pretty long, though it seems like that had a lot to do with the fact that he was already playing through issues with it. hopefully leon's back by playoff time. scal, though, i'm not sure about. sucks, because a PF rotation of kg, scal, powe, and baby (w/ moore serving as a 4/5) is pretty [dang] good.

This isn't good.  Maybe his knees are a bit weak structurally after his two knee surgeries.  We really need his beastiality(wrong word i guess!) in the playoffs.

methinks leon's injury is pretty bad...i thought second round of the playoffs so if we get himback before then that is good

It really feels like the bench has been decimated.  I don't think we can count on Scal being back and I doubt that T. Allen or Powe will be full speed when the playoffs start.

House, Baby, and Steph.  Those will be our key healthy reserves come playoff time.  (I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.)

I think they did think it was just bruised at first.  He wouldn't have come back out and tried to go on it, if they knew it was sprained (or worse) all along.

I don't understand why they aren't just straight with us about it.

Why do we need to know everything? 

Don't get me wrong, I would love it if they let us know everything thats going on, but I don't think we need to know.

I also really don't think they are purposely holding much back, I just think its been a slow, and imperfect science, trying to determine whats wrong, and how long it will take to get better.

It could still be a bruise but it could be a bone bruise on his patella and not a soft tissue bruise. A bone bruise can takes weeks to heal. Sometimes it's as bad or worse than a break.

As a fan this sucks about Powe but this is unfortunate on a much deeper level.  He seems like a good guy and had to raise his siblings as a teen.  Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't his parents bail and his house burned down?  He had the surgery in college which caused him to drop to the second round and now this right before he becomes a (restricted) free agent.  Hope everything turns out ok for the guy.
