Lets remember here, this is all just from a vague note by Greg Dickerson.

that's the problem....why is this situation vague? why can't they just be straight with us?

If it's a sprain, what ligament is sprained? ACL? MCL?

Did they do an MRI? Is there a lot of inflammation? Is it immobilized...etc...

which is unfortunaly the first thing we have anywhere near an offical statement because they run things like the patriots now. Which im not saying is a bad thing, just fustrating for the fans.

This isn't good.  Maybe his knees are a bit weak structurally after his two knee surgeries.  We really need his beastiality(wrong word i guess!) in the playoffs.

No, no. Every playoff series is decided by who has better sex with animals. I mean, everyone knows that.

And here we thought they were decided by Stern and the refs.  Or are you implying Stern and the refs are . . . having . . . Ick.

Why do you need to know?

And I think your problem is with the media, not the team.

How do they run things like the patriots?  We are constantly given updates on all of the injuries.  We know every set back Scal has had, they gave the exact diagnosis of KG's injury, and continued to answer questions about how much longer he would be out, We got plenty of updates on Ray's injury, same with Rondo's, and Tony's as well.

I think you guys are expecting way too much here.  There has been nothing deceptive going on.

Well, it's not like I really need to know, but I'd like to. I mean, why they don't just say "the player is injured, he'll be back some day, just wait"?

But I agree the media is the one to blame, they should be getting this info.

If that's the case, the Celts are better off without Leon. I heard the dude eats kittens.

I hope they're being overly cautious and its nothing too serious. Come back soon Leon. Celtic smack downs won't be the same without you throwing down a couple :-\

Chris, you don't want to know the extent of Powe's injury and when he might reasonably return?

you are a pretty patient fan then....all the better for your sports related anxiety level, i suppose.

for me, believing that Powe is important to our post season success, I'd like to know the extent of his injury....

like cor said, maybe i don't need to know, but i'd like to know...and more than anything, i'd like to not be jerked around with misleading vague reports.

is it a problem with the media or the team...I don't really know. If they are asking the questions and not getting straight answers, then it's the team...

not really sure at this point. maybe it will be cleared up tonight.

This is what I was thinking.  Or at least hoping.

This has really been agonizing...I fully believe that if it were serious than we'd know - so I believe its a "strain" and not a "sprain" or a "tear."

But with how valuable his interior play is and how well he has been playing, I'd like to be re-assured that he'll have ample time to get on his feet and get some practice under his belt before the playoffs.

Leon coming back raw for the playoffs isn't going to help much IMO...he needs to get his timing back...

So why didn't The Lakers win last year?

Of course I want to know, but I also think they have given us information.  He has a sprained knee.  First he was out for 2 weeks, and upon reevaluation, they have decided it will be longer, and they hope he will be back for the playoffs.  I just don't see what good it would do to know any more than that.

Would it make you feel better if you knew which part of the knee was hurt, even though you are not a Doctor, do not have access to the actual MRI, or Powe himself to be able to know how badly it is injured?

Why not just take them at their word, and let them make a diagnosis of how long he will be out for?

If there was a tear or anything like that, then I feel confident we would know about it.
