He's had two games where he was almost as good as Pruitt.  The rest of the time Marbury has looked worse than a D-leaguer.

He's rusty, all right-- rusted all the way through.  Stick a fork in him.  He's done, and so are the Celtics if they keep playing him.

we get it, you have no intrest in hearing anything other than your right. we'll have to agree to disagree.

TP4U chris, good list (in the other thread).

Actually there's another silver lining.  If the team makes an early exit from the playoffs we won't have to watch Marbury play any more.

We get it, you hate Marbury.

Not Marbury, just his game.  D'Antoni knew exactly what he was doing when he installed Duhon as the starter in NY and sent Marbury packing.

Absolutely. And the Knicks are just awesome this year  ::)

And if by "almost as good as Pruitt", you mean by how he quadrupled Pruitt's assist average in his first month playing here, then I see your point.  ::)

Seriously Brick its alomst like you wnat him to fail so you can say "I told you so."
When he proves to be a good addition, which he will, I hope you have the guts to say you were wrong.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

Believe me, I'd rather be wrong.  But so far I'm 100% right.

I'm sure that the Stephonistas here are itching to point out my mistakes and will gloat every time he makes a shot.  What's he shooting now, around 20%?  But hey, even a blind squirrel occasionally finds an acorn, and I predict that he will make a few more shots between now and the end of the regular season.

It will be fun watching the Heat score 130 tonight against Doc's exhausted troops while Giddens and Pruitt--two decent young defenders-- continue to watch from the best seats in the house.

Actually, if Rondo doesn't play the Heat could score 150.

Ugh.  Please don't give Doc any ideas...

If the C's only two big men tonight are Mikki Moore and Perk, it doesn't matter if Gidden's was Bruce Bowen, and Pruitt was Gary Payton in their primes and playing the entire game, the heat will be scoring 120+ points.

The C's defense is completely reliant on help defense from the big men.  Mikki Moore is one of the worst help defenders I have ever seen, and Bill Walker just is not going to cut it.

Yeah... the depleted Celts are going to loose again tonight. We need big bodies to stand a chance in the paint.

Stephon Marbury is the smallest blip on the radar screen in comparison.

yea, mikki is going to kill us. he can't help and we're going to be super short on bigs.

I'll be pleasently amazed if pierce and friends can keep us in this one and give us a shot to win it.

This is like 2006 all over again.

Don't get me wrong, Mikki CAN help.  But only very marginally.  And it is much easier to expose a player like him defensively when he is forced to play big minutes, than in just spot minutes.

Are you kidding?  He sucks.  He's even worse than I thought he would be.  That embarrassing blow-by last evening, when Derrick Rose beat him off the dribble without even having to cross over, was just the tip of a huge, useless iceberg. And he continues to throw up brick after brick.

The emperor ain't wearing any clothes, and if you want to pretend that he is, don't expect company from me.
Amen.

And what about the Salmon blow-by on Ray Allen...oh, wait, there were several.  And I just kept thinking that this is the guy guarding Kobe when we play the Lakers!

Law help us.

Well, Ray Allen and Pierce are both exhausted from the minutes they've been playing. They both get a pass from me.

Me too.  Plus, the Celtics defense ussually doesn't leave them out on an island like it did last night.  Without the big men playing their roles, it exposes everyone.

You definitely have a good point.  There IS NOT a second line of defense at times with the players we have available.

True, but Ray did an excellent job on him for a big portion of last years playoffs.  Plus, we have to get to the Lakers to even have this conversation...
