Who cares if guys are injured?  This was a total waste of great efforts by Ray Allen and Leon Powe.  What about them?  Don't they deserve better?

Marbury has no business being on an NBA court, in Boston or anywhere else. When they signed Marbury, even I didn't think it would be this bad. But he just exudes losing.

I don't get it. So you think if Marbury did not play tonight the Celtics would have won?

Yes!!!!!

Hate to break the news, but you don't have to blame someone for every loss.

What's the fun in that?

God, I wish we had sighed Chris Duhon with the MLE.

Probably never. If he hit three shots tonight, perhaps this thread isn't started. I don't like Marbury personally but I can see he's trying his ass off, he's putting more effort into playing defense than he has since he and Spree were playing with KG, his shot is all over the place which is a sign of not having his legs under him, and his ability to drive the lane is still obviously there and invaluable.

I say give him 10 more games and all the Starbury is washed up and sucks talk will be gone. Of course by then we could see mister attitude coming out, so who knows just what he'll give this team this year.

Well, they lost the game by 8 and Marbury was minus 10.

When are we going to agree that the emperor isn't wearing any clothes?  When are we going to concede that Marbury isn't Starbury, he's Barfbury?  When are we going to take off the emerald colored glasses?  When are we going to consider the possibility that maybe, just maybe, Donnie Walsh and Mike D'Antoni have been around the block a few times and knew what they were doing?

It's time to start snickering at Danny Ainge on this one.

In that case, I blame Ray Allen.  He was minus 14!!!

That's because he was on the floor with Marbury.  If not for Ray, Marbury would have been minus 25.  Did you watch the game?

+/- of a single game is a stupid way to judge performance and you know it Brick. If you want to attack Marbury's game tonight use a valid criticism, they're easy enough to find.

If they had started House or Pruitt and left Marbury on the bench they would have won the game.  Marbury contributed nothing.

Well PJ Brown sucked until midway through the Cleveland series and then came up big for us the rest of the way. I'll give Marbury 2-3 weeks. He is having trouble scoring right now, but that's the thing he does best. I think you can attribute a lot of that to rust and having to play a big role right away. Look at San Antonio with Gooden, they are not even playing him for the 1st few games until he gets a good feel for the teams plays.

1) He may not be wearing any clothes, but he wears some fly $15 dollar shoes.
2) I will never concede to calling him Barfbury, that is just stupid.
3) I don't need emerald glasses, I live in the emerald city.
4) When they run a team that wins a championship.
5) I'm not that hungry so I can wait on the snickering.

You'll give Marbury 2-3 weeks? LOL.  You'll give Marbury as much time as Doc gives him, which is probably the rest of the season. ;)

Why is +/- a stupid way to judge performance?  I would agree that it shouldn't be the sole determination of whether someone played well or not, but I don't think it's an invalid criticism.  For example, Bill Walker played 14 minutes, and the C's were +12 in the time he was on the court.  Would you say that we couldn't use that statistic to say that Walker made a positive contribution?  Which he did, btw.  It is true that it to use it on a game-by-game basis is tricky since it is open to so many other in-game variables, but I don't think it's a meaningless stat, either.

Here here.

Stop the blaming. I think it would have been a worse outcome had House started, been pressured constantly bringing the ball up the court and being unable to take the big shots that put us close to winning.

Just enjoy the games. Sports are about fun.
