So let's pick a date when everyone can agree that Marbury is not just "rusty" but flat out sucks?  How may zero point, zero rebound, multiple turnover games will it take?

How about April Fools Day? That gives all of his supporters three more weeks to bask in his suckitude, and by then the Magic will have passed the Celtics in the standings.

On this site, you will need a rolling date based on the posters.

Some hold out hope longer then others.

What has he played, 6 games in 14 months. This kind of post represents the worst of Boston sports fans. And, the Magic passing the C's in the standings will have no relationship to Marbury.

No, Marbury represents the worst in Boston sports.

The Celtics can comfortably use the rest of the regular season to try and get Marbury going. Eddie House has been here long enough, and has good enough chemistry with the rest of his teammates, to step right in at the start of the playoffs should the Marbury experiment fail.

I was sort of wondering this myself tonight.  He looks super tentative shooting.  The passing is ok.  But he's not bringing much to the table right now.

Then again thrusting him into a starting role isn't the ideal situation either.

I'm still hopeful he can bring something to the table by the end of the season.

Right now it's not pretty

Yup

But don't you guys get it? It is all Marbury's fault that the Celtics are losing these games. It has nothing to do with KG, Rondo and three other guys being out injured.

Well, it's better then blaming the coach right now.

Who cares if guys are injured?  This was a total waste of great efforts by Ray Allen and Leon Powe.  What about them?  Don't they deserve better?

Marbury has no business being on an NBA court, in Boston or anywhere else. When they signed Marbury, even I didn't think it would be this bad. But he just exudes losing.

The point is there really should be no blame being tossed other than injuries. The leader of the defense and the leader of the offense are both out hurt. Take a couple of guys out of the Lakers lineup -- say Kobe and Gasol. How many games to you think the Lakers would in? I am not saying that Marbury has not been part of the problem, but to lay all of this on a guy who has played 6 games in 14 months seems kind of ridiculous to me.

I don't get it. So you think if Marbury did not play tonight the Celtics would have won?

His play at PG adds to the hole the Celtics have to dig out of right now.

I agree that he needs time to get his game going, but until then, he is hurting the team with his play.

Hate to break the news, but you don't have to blame someone for every loss.
