A win over the Cleveland ZebraCavs is
certainly well worth the effort, even at
4:55 o'clock in the AM!!!

And your dedication is well worth a TP from me.  g'day

The disparity in free throw calls is pretty substantial, the more I think about it. I just went looking through a bunch of boxscores (for teams other than the celtics) and yeah, it's really rare to have that huge of a difference in free throw attempts. Considering that Boston was killing it in the paint, it seems a little dubious to me.

God, i love the Celtics !!!!

i love them because, as a kid, i started cheering for the "old champs" in 1969 during the playoffs. so, yeah, a big part is that i love the franchise.

but i love them just as much for the way they play basketball. the championship teams have been such a pleasure to watch. beautiful fundamentals, beautiful teamwork and beautiful aggressiveness. they play to their strengths and they execute. for a purist like me, they are so much fun to watch.

You know what I also love, pretty much how the uniforms haven't changed.  Besides the 3rd team color option jerseys, they're still the same green and white.

Suns to miss the playoffs, I'm calling it.

The Cavs miss Big Ben more than conventional wisdom realizes. I'm fairly certain they'd have 0 chances of winning the title if they hadn't picked Smith. He gives them a chance of competing.

Anyway, if we keep going inside, limit their points off turnovers (this worries me, but today we did very well) and even the rebounding battle, we have solid chances versus them.

And Cha Ching!

Anyone else wonder why the rest of the league doesn't use our defense on LeCrab as a blueprint?  Are our players just that much more capable of carrying out the gameplan?  Whatever we are doing, keep it up Thibs and Rivs!

this would have been a 20 plus blow out if the refs weren't so one-sided...obvious

You could say that about our entire defense though. Its a tough system to use and we have good personal for it, plus great coaching.

Yeah, who else would join Wallace in the "Drastically underrated to Ridiculously overrated (and overpaid) to somewhat underrated" club?

I mean, yeah, he was underrated when he joined Detroit, then, because they won 1 title and he was surrounded with Billups, Hamilton, Prince, 'Sheed and a HOF coach, he became incredibly overrated and signed a contract that 90% of rational basketball fans knew would be terrible. Then because everyone realized that he was only living up to about 25% of his contract everyone really just stopped talking about him completely...but it's not like he's a terrible and useless player suddenly. Yes, he's drastically overpaid, but he can still rebound and defend a little.
