Am I the only one who has no idea who "wild thing" is?  Did the Cavs sign Ricky Vaughn to shore up the rotation?

I'm assuming Varejao.

You mean Cleveland fans don't call him Sideshow Bob?

Yeah, Wild Thing is Andy.  We also call him Side Show Bob actually.

Seattle traded Delonte so they could get more expiring contracts before they shipped their team to a new city.

Friday will be the rare occassion where Z and Joe Smith can play on the floor at the same time against the Cs.  Boston is much easier to defend on the inside when they are missing KG.

Really? KG plays in the post? Since when?  ;)

Ha!  Not often, but he is smat enough to play in the post when he knows his defender can;t cover him.  Perfect example:  I am pretty sure KG hit a nice little running hook (or was it a lay up) over Joe Smith in the playoffs last year near the end of one of the games.  Smith can't cover KG down low and KG knows it

I'm going out on a limb and saying that kg is back friday. So we will gat a glimps of the playoffs. But not a whole picture because the two new guys are not at full speed yet.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

I'm pretty sure we would have heard something if he'd attempt to give it a go tomorrow.

He'll be out at least another week from the sound of it.

Considering the original prediction was 2-3 weeks...and that was 2 weeks ago...and Ainge is saying there is no timetable for his return now, I don't expect to see KG back any time soon, definitely not tomorrow.  I'm afraid it might be worse than they're letting on.  Either that, or they're just being exra cautious.  Either way, he won't be back tomorrow night.

If we beat the Cavs without KG
I'd say we have the upper hand
psychologically speaking.
Even if Cleveland should win HCA.

I will be at this game - but I do not expect a Celtics win.  If we do win, though - I'll be ecstatic.  If we lose, no big deal as I'm expecting it.

I will be booing and most likely cursing at LeCrabDribble though so I will be enjoying myself and hopefully some of the balcony faithful will enjoy it as well.
God bless and good night!

I watched their game vs. the Bucks whenever the C's game was stopped. We must try to go inside as often as possible, they'll eventually start sinking too much and fouling.

They were too lucky to get Smith, Hickson is talented but nowhere near ready to offer them the rebounding and presence they'd need from a 3rd big in order to have a chance of winning it all.

  • Let's Go Celtics
A lot of things are gonna have to go right for us to win this one without KG.

Pierce is going to have to be Captain Clutch.  He's going to have to put up 30+ and be big down the stretch ala last night.

Ray's going to have to be hot from deep.  We need him to spread out the defense and create lanes to the hoop.

Rondo needs to keep Mo in check.  Both guys are making a leap this year.  Mo's is to a higher level than Rondo's at this point in their careers.  We need Rondo to be aggressive on offense going to the hoop and finishing.  We also need him to not roam on D and stay with Mo.

Out of Perk, Baby, and Leon, we need two to play well.  Whether it's Perk repeating last night, Leon crashing the offensive boards hard, or Baby hitting the mid range jumper.

We're going to need a lot of horses on to win this one.  It should be a fun one.  I wish I could be at the Garden for it.  We're gonna need the place to be rocking to give us the homecourt edge that we need.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."
