Like Doc says, rather be healthy
than 1st seed. KG will fire us up.
Relax people. We ain't dead yet!

Then why is he burning out Pierce?  Does that only apply to KG?

I hope he gets asked that.

Yeah, for me, this is the most frustrating part of the recent games -- that Pierce has been playing way too much.  I realize that Scal and TA, the regular backups are out, but Doc needs to find a way to rest PP.  Maybe it means Allen playing the 3, maybe it means Giddens or Walker getting PT.  I don't know and I don't care -- PP should be playing closer to 36 mins a game.

Play more small backcourt.  Rondo and House.  Rondo and Marbury.  Let Ray play some more of his 36 minutes at SF.

Play Bill Walker.

Apparently he is unplayable except in garbage time.

The Celtics lost because of Rondo and Ray Allen's poor offensive games.  Just that simple.

the team's stubborness to play walker or giddens in meaningful minutes throughout the season is going to hurt boston on the end. they don't have anyone who can play the wing when PP needs to rest. i find it funny that teams like the cavs, magic, heat, spurs all play their rookies good minutes....boston doesn't.

Agreed.  And the defense wasn't good enough.

But the Pierce minutes is a bigger issue going forward.

the pistons team today that played would do some damage in the playoffs.

Only if they get 40 free throws and 50% from three each game in the playoffs

Wow...40 free throws huh... more then half of them of the ticky-tack, breathing variety...and yet again the opposing team gets away with more phyical play..

when its all said and done, the celtics didnt deserve to win this game...make a run...give up a run...pull away...fall behind...reoccurring theme in the losses

yup...and when he plays poorly...we suck...its very glaring to me anyways..

but its pretty much been on the team...he should be the one getting 40+ minutes, not pierce..he should be the one pushing the ball and running the offense, but hes not as much lately

but for the guy that said stuckey "destoyed rondo"
Looking at the boxscore and watching the game...you must be confused...stucky was yet again average, and rip hamilton makes a better PG then him

PP can't play 48 minutes a game. Too much. The Celtics are tired.

what i don't understand is saving garnett and burning out pierce...makes no sense

Exactly. What happened to Doc saying he'd play Pruitt/Walker more minutes and suck it up even if they're not playing well? Neither of them have played much since he said that.
Even if Pierce wanted to play 48 minutes he should have sat him. I can't even imagine how many minutes he and Ray have played the past few weeks. I don't even care about blowouts anymore because they'll likely play more than they have to anyway.

Pruitt is suspended
and Walker obviously isnt ready

If the celtics had any sense of urgency, maybe they actually get a comfortable lead and get some rest

Whether Walker is ready or not, Doc said he was going to play him more. And he said that before Pruitt got suspended. So its a legitimate question why he isn't cutting down Paul and Ray's minutes like he said he would.

i just don't get the fact that rondo either looks great or struggles...just NO balance. boston should have been running up and down like they did vs phoenix and denver today...yet they were slow and indecisive on offense.....i think to get marbury comfortable you gotta play him with the starters once n awhile...not start him but he has to contribute....not having KG is catching up to them...it is obvious without him there pumping everyone up they have no energy

Play Bill Walker.

Apparently he is unplayable except in garbage time.

Not always. Sometimes Ray moves to SF with the bench like in the Denver game.

So Walker was playing meaningful minutes at SG?
