you know why boston beat denver and phoenix? they turned rondo loose and let him run...since then it has been a slowed down meat grinder and boston can't match up with length in the half court set

Pistons are a lot better without Iverson.

Haha, my bad. Boston always gets the shortend of the stick when it comes to officating, just like every other fan feels about their team in the NBA. Is that better?

boston just isn't playing any defense and when ray isn't hitting threes the offense is stuck in first gear....but not having KG ina game like today hurts...this could be a TOUGH week coming up...cleveland friday and orlando sunday without KG....and then throw this turd fest in the mix and boston could be looking at a one win week (and jersey won't roll over)..

Pierce, Perk, and Powe are the only ones who had a solid 1st half. Lets hope the tempo picks up in the 2nd half. It seems like we're at our best when we're pushing the ball up the floor.

Starbury played like crapbury in the 1st half.

actually i though he played ok, and had great passing. he turned the ball over twice, but those appeared to be more from not playing in 13 months than bad passes/ decisions.

certainly not a shift to remember, but not "crapbury" or whatever clever nicknam epeople want to make up for the day.

I can't really critciz him defensivly, as Doc decided to put him on a freaking power forward for some reason, who i didnt expect him to be able to cover.

(i know, i know, no length with scal and KG out but still....the best we can come up with is a PG on a PF? and then doc acts all surprised that herman can shoot over the top?)

other than the 2 turnovers he was ok...he was in a no win situation trying to cover a bigger guy with 2 fouls...i fault the defense

That was an atrocious second quarter.  I don't think it's just KG being out either, since we looked good in PHX and DEN.  Integrating new guys probably makes it harder and slows us down a little, but there's no reason to be that terrible.  I wonder if it would help if Doc actually gave the new guys a little LESS burn.

the difference is those teams are trash defensively, Detroit can actually defend and make us play half court, where we are failing at defending and scoring.

If they would go ahead and just let us run off makes and misses all night, we'd be fine.

yea, can we go back to the "new" Detroit offense that consists of everyone watching AI dribble for 18 seconds?

this one that actually moves the ball like ours is tougher to defend :)

The officiating is always questionable... that should no longer be an excuse. We should be going into games knowing the officiating will be that way and prepare for it.

Absolutely agree.

On a slightly different note, I don't care how Doc does it, but he needs to start finding ways to give Pierce a rest.

problem is the 2 scrub bench guys are killing boston...bynum and hermann....they have like 15 points combined. boston needs to play with some energy..and ray HAS to make a few threes here

Celtics better come out of the half on fire. I hate it when the refs win  >:(

Because every loss is blamed on the refs. But every win is a good Celtic win.

Not true, they've overcome some questionable officiating in a good number of wins this season.

The officiating is always questionable... that should no longer be an excuse. We should be going into games knowing the officiating will be that way and prepare for it.

I agree refs shouldn't be an excuse in a loss. But they're supposed to be a neutral factor out there so if they making it easier for one team to win then they certainly can be blamed as one of the contributing factors to a loss.

I love games like that . . . where the outcome is a guaranteed L for someone I can't stand!

Now let's regroup and play well!
