very very poor half...boston has not played good basketball since denver. this team is lifeless without KG....detroit is controlling tempo...boston can't guard me right now...total collapse from 4 minutes on in the second quarter

The pistons are pure trash...i dont think theres a team in the NBA I dislike more...and if we match up with them in the first round, losing to them in the last meeting in the regular season at home would be a disaster

Celtics better come out of the half on fire. I hate it when the refs win  >:(

Because every loss is blamed on the refs. But every win is a good Celtic win.

more on the defensive problems- detroit isnt even running a complicated offense, its just the pick and roll with off the ball screens for rip along the baseline.

Without kevin, we are as bad as we were in 05-06 against P&R's  >:(

Yeah, it looks more like the moving pick and roll to me.

I hate when Doc is blamed by this kind of personnel shortcomings.
He could have brought in Bill Walker...  ;)

Even in that case, who would he guard? Prince or Herrmann? You'd still have the mismatch or a gazed Pierce.

Walker in to guard Hermann, and you sit Pierce for at least a few minutes.  The problem now is that Pierce is much less effective than he could be because he is worn out.

I'm not very impressed with Mikki Moore. He sets very poor screens. They aren't the least bit effective. He is letting go of his jumper too early and it looks ugly.

I'll give him a pass on defense for now..but he doesn't appear to be a good defender and I think he is too weak to guard anyone in the post.

Im not very impressed with anyone on the celtics right now, not just moore

Thats what im saying. Dude can't defend. It seems that his best defense is a foul & then SCREAM. And what about a 7footer who can't block a shot. But we all know Doc probably will give him more minutes than BBD & Powe when playoffs starts. I hope im wrong.

That was an atrocious second quarter.  I don't think it's just KG being out either, since we looked good in PHX and DEN.  Integrating new guys probably makes it harder and slows us down a little, but there's no reason to be that terrible.  I wonder if it would help if Doc actually gave the new guys a little LESS burn.

pierce has been worn out since the all star break...he isn't even looking for his shot right now...his defense is lacking....color me concerned that boston might get blown out in the second half....how do you give up 55 points in a half to this pistons team...awful

Not true, they've overcome some questionable officiating in a good number of wins this season.

Pistons are a lot better without Iverson.

The officiating is always questionable... that should no longer be an excuse. We should be going into games knowing the officiating will be that way and prepare for it.
