there's also a diffrence between being a 1st year kid and a 3rd year 2nd rounder who has never established himself when it comes to the club's view on the matter.

I dont think he should be cut because of this, but IMO if we need to add a 3rd bench player, its now him rather than JR that the club cuts.

People were condemning drunk driving in the first post, and here they are condemning Gabe for staying out late the night before a game. Those are two different subjects, guys.

In the context of drunk driving, I thought people were being harsh on a young kid. That was on a non-game night in the kid's hometown where he was hanging out with college buddies. So, I consider that excusable. I have seen no evidence that he wasn't able to handle himself on the road so I give him the benefit of the doubt, since I have done this exact thing.

IF HE DID stay out and drink til late before an afternoon game, then it's inexcusable. This is not something that I would do, and that's what I'm basing my opinion on.

Attacking someone's logic doesn't make a lot of sense.
Maybe look in the mirror before you condemn others.

First of all, I don't think this thread should even be here, true or not.  There's plenty of tabloid crap and voyeurism out there, we don't need to know all the details of the player's private lives.
The drinking and driving is another matter- yes, it's forgiveable, maybe even twice, but people are killed by drunk drivers every day. I think that's way more serious than being at a stripclub all night, not that that's such a great way to spend your time.
Anyway, the reason I think he should be cut is that he's played poorly almost every time he's been given the chance and isn't improving. Looks like a fringe player that's just not quite good enough.

Not to be a jerk, but I take information passed on to me from people who spend several hours past 2 a.m. at a strip club on a weeknight with a grain of salt.  That may or may not include our friend Gabe.

Im just stating the facts ChampKid! Like it or not, the fact you state you are not trying to be a jerk tells us you were in fact trying to be a jerk. And also dont act as if you never seen celebrities out far past 2 or 3a.m. in the morning doing whatever they choose. And definitely dont act like you never have done it yourself if you are above the age of 21 & try and ruin my credibility for being there. Please dont take up for a grown azz man which Gabe Pruitt is! He simply shoulda been in his hotel with his teammates at that point of the night/morning.

Drinking at a strip club past 5 am the night of the events occurring does blemish your credibility.  Isn't it possible that in the course of drinking and watching strippers that maybe your judgment was impaired and you identified the wrong person?  Your account as a witness would be scrutinized in court.

Besides, I always leave the strip club by 4 am. 

Additionally, my character isn't being called into question here, because I am not the one who is accusing someone else of unscrupulous behavior.  I am merely pointing out that you aren't exactly the best source here - and that what you say in no way impacts my opinion of Gabe.

I was only at the strip club because I am a detective who is hired by the club to be extra security, therefore I am giving myself away if Gabe ever read this post because I am the very person who escorted him away from the club at 5:00 am.  I only work that bar when it is higher profile players or singers expected to attend as the Celtics & the rapper the Game was supposed to be in attendance that night. When the players or celebrities leave the building, so do I! That is why I am saying I know the exact facts that were involved in this case. My credibilty is far more than any source you could actually received in this situaiton. And I guess if Danny really wanted to know if this was true, he could have the clubs tapes pulled for evidence by simply visiting the Arizona bar the next time he is in AZ. It is his home in the offseason so it would not be a problem at all. This particular club is the only club in Arizona open past 2a.m. so many celebrities frequent this particular club. Every club in AZ shutsdown past 2 a.m. when alcohol has stopped being served. Hope that is enough info for all the doubters!

 I understand that it's tough gaining credibility when you have such an awesome job.  None of the women at the county fair understood how important my job as breast inspector was that one year.  They're always all "get away, creep" when really I'm just looking out for their safety.

Paul Pierce is a franchise player who works very hard at his craft
gabe Pruitt is a bench warmer who clearly doesnt work very hard, or hed see the floor more...RR won a championship as a starter in his 2nd year, Gabe pruitt is still warming the bench

That's simply not true.  I work for David Stern, and we've been closely monitoring Mr. Pruitt's activities.  We're concerned that he's a Lakers plant, since this supposedly good shooter is making 30% of his field goals this year.  Regardless, I can safely report that he was safely snuggled up in his room, watching old Bob Ross reruns, driving Ovaltine and weaving a pair of pants, by 10:30PM.

Don't tell Mr. Stern that I told you.  He'll have me killed.
