Marbury would be interested, but he won't get many minutes. I don't see Rondo and Marbury playing at the same time, so there are at most 14 MPG available for him. This also takes Pruitt completely out of the picture.

I would like a legit backup PG like Marbury, but I wonder how long he can be satisfied with 14 MPG.

Then again, 14 MPG is better than his current undefined MPG (0 min / 0 games)

I don't know if that's true. Why couldn't Rondo and Marbury play at the same time? I think it would make for a very interesting back court. I could also see Marbury and House playing together. I think he'd still be getting 20 minutes or so per game.

I expect Marbury and House to be playing together a lot if Marbury is signed.  Doc has already talked about this posibility.  Marbury is big enough to be able to cover (sufficiently for short stretched) many SG's, and they could play House on the PG, and then switch roles on the other end, allowing House to play off the ball.

lets hope Marbury gets his buyout so he can join the C's

New Roster

PG: Rondo / Marbury/ Pruitt
SG: Ray  /  House  / Walker
SF: PP   /  Scal   / Giddens
PF: KG   /  Powe   / BBD
 C: Perk /  Moore  / BBD

Also, how happy would people be happy to see a SF signed like Antoine or Bonzi? Surely both an upgrade over Scal and Big Fatty, no?

I think Antoine may be fatter than Big Baby at this point. At least Big Baby can dunk.

Hopefully Marbury & House can put that trash-talking from the pre-season behind them.

I thought Marbury and Walsh were going to meet *before* the grievance/arbitration hearing thing.

Seems like if they were going to meet some common ground it would have been before the arbitration.  Once the arbitration began, positions would be likely to harden and a lot more emotion would get involved, which would not bode well for a buyout.  People do some darned stupid things when they think some bigger principle is involved and their dander is up.

Guess we'll soon enough know.

I was just about to say that not hearing anything from Marbury by now is not a good thing. But according to CeltsRunThis and Mike Lynch he will sign with the Celtics.

Really? There's nothing reporting the meeting on any internet outlet yet Ch. 5 is reporting this? If that's true, then wow. I don't like Starbury as a person but he can certainly play and be that 6th man.

**Edit**

Nevermind, I see it on their website.

I like this idea. I'd rather have a back-up SF though.

Great find on this and first TP for you- cant believe no one else gave you one.

The thought of Marbury lighting up Vucajic or Farmer or Boobie Gibson brings a smile to my face  ;D
