The weirdest thing about this injury is every time I look at the video, I just do not see anything happening. He jumped up and then he lands on one foot and car hadly walk on the other. So it happened on the push off to jump, but when you look at that you also see nothing. Bizarre.

Bizarre.Sometimes bad injuries happen like that. I was once playing tennis and while not moving on the court, my right leg gave out on me, I fell to the ground and broke my ankle. My first really bad injury in my life happened when I was not even running or moving. KG has also been playing with something wrong for awhile now, so it might have been the tipping point and something just finally gave up.
Apparently the little smiley face didn't get the point across that it was a joke.No one ever wants to see major injuries. But, KG missing some time will give him some time to rest and also give the Celtics time bring in a big man (Joe Smith) and work him into the system while KG heals.

I agree that Smith would be much better for the Celtics, but there is no guarantee that he gets cut. Then if he is cut, he has to agree to take less money from the Celtics than what the Cavs would offer him.

If you guys are healthy, Smith is definitely not as big a help for you guys, as you have Z, Varejeo and Big Ben.
Quote from: Bankshot on February 20, 2009, 12:20:25 PMJust heard on wEEI that KG will miss the rest of the road trip (5 games). Hopefully won't be longer than that. I haven't heard a diagnosis. There's only 3 games left on the road trip.

Stephen A Smith said it was a 1-4 week injury...this is what he was told from people inside the Celtics. said the team doesn't care about seeding and just want KG to be as close to 100 percent for the playoffs. said they are prepared for him to sit out as long as it takes before the playoffs. so...Danny...go get joe smith and bobby jackson and lets go
