I hope that they can indeed be bought out and join us with the right attitudes. I'm more worried about the Celtics getting out of the East with Lebron than fighting off the Lakers.

If we picked up Will Solomon, I would assume that Starbury isn't coming to town.  Time will tell.

Yes, please change the title of this thread to why Calvin Booth and Will Solomon are perfect fits.

(I kid.)

You kid. But sadly it seems like this is what's going to happen.

It's funny because both are pretty much poor man's versions of Smith/Marbury.

I think that Marbury and Smith could still end up playing here. If they do we will win the championship. If they don't we still might win the championship. It's nice to be a Celtics fan these days.

Smith sure.

Marbury, no way.
There is nothing anyone can say to convince me that someone who has been exiled by every team he ever played for can help this team.

Sam Cassell > Marbury

motivated people in short periods of time can do amazing things - even if their history proves otherwise - remember Blount's contract push?

I remember it well, it sure fooled Danny. Blount must have taken lessons from Pervis Ellison on how to play well for a one month every few years and get very wealthy doing it.

I am crossing my fingers that this will happen, I would trade Cassell and POB for Marbury and Smith any day. I think with these two guys we can be looked at as a championship team again.
