From what I hear now, Hornets ownership is pretty freakin broke by NBA standards... Now wouldn't it just be ironic if Seattle's former team helps force the current owners to sell to the city of Seattle or something?

That'd make me giggle a bit, gotta admit.

That's what Simmons was saying in his podcast.  He said there was a lot of chatter over allstar weekend about how the HOrnets likely will not be in New Orleans very long and Vegas and Seattle were possible destinations.  He also mentioned Sacremento and Memphis as teams who might have to move.  He said the Nets owner was broke... and the Bobcats were in trouble as well.   He even suggested that one of those teams might even have to fold.

I hope a team does fold.  It would be like a forced contraction.  30 teams is too much in this league.  It gets watered down and players with no business in the league are getting roster spots.
