The trade between the Hornets and Thunder involving Tyson Chandler and Chris Wilcox/Joe Smith has been rescinded due to Chandler failing examinations by the Thunder's medical staff. ESPN is reporting this during the Lakers - Warriors telecast.

Edit - my bad, looks like there's several other threads already about this!

Wow. I wonder what Chandler's physical problems all are and how serious they are?

N0 needs cap relief. Posey AND a 1st rounder for Scal and Tony Allen :o

I'd rather give them Giddens and keep the 1st round pick . We already have Walker as a young wing man with potential

Wing man?
you Know SG/SF
That's a wing.

A wing man is the guy you bring along to talk to the friend of the hottie you want to pick up.

Joe Smith is a free agent after this year. I checked a few different sites. A SG/SF is refered to as a Wingman... Ive never heard anyone say "He's a 6'6'' wing" when describing a player. words are capable of having different meanings.
Quoting Nick from the now locked Ime thread:

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Didn't Bobcats sign TA to an offer sheet before the start of this season?
If so, anyone still think they may be interested in him?  Obviously he has a thumb injury, but, at least it isn't something major along the lines of him blowing his knee out again or anything?

Thanks.

Man. Impossible for us to trade for Smith with an expiring deal. It would be sweet if he took a big discount for a last second release. If he was willing to leave most of what he is owed on the table, I'm sure they would consider.

Maybe DA paid off the Thunder doctor who did the physical? Switched x-rays.

It would be nice to have Posey back, especially with TA out for a while, but I have to give Danny credit. He seemed to have a pretty good idea of what Posey is worth and N.O. overpaid. Bidding wars are a good way to go out of business.

so how are ya'll proposing that this helps us land J. Smith? Would there be a buyout and we sign him to the spot we freed up with the Cassell deal? What kind of trade do you think OKC would realistically do?

Scals and Giddens plus cash/pick for Smith?
Scals, Giddens, Baby or Pruitt for Smith?

Is he much more productive/much more of a true center than Powe?
He's a power forward, 2inches taller than Powe. Powe has 10 or 15 pounds on him. Powe's averaging like 6.5 points, a little over 4 rebs per game this year. Smith gets 6.5 points, 4.5 rebs too. Sounds like we would necessarily have to give up too much for a player who would be redundant on this team. Sure, he might bring a veteran presence, but doesn't Scals do that already?

I don't get it.

i dont know how people hope will get him besides buy out...but he is def more producttive than powe...smith played really tough with the cavs and brought way more to the table than powe

The crazy part is the Thunder won't take Scal's extra year unless they are getting a talent they really like. They could go after Powe or BBD in the offseason if they want them, without eating Scal's contract for next year.
