I read that the Knicks are motivated to move either Curry (right) or Jeffries so that they can re-sign David Lee and still have money to be bidders in the 2010 offseason.

Would they do this deal to shed salary?

I like that deal.

He's known as a good defender but he kind of sucks in every other aspect, doesn't he?  If he was a guy like Diop or Mutombo who protects the rim, I'd think about taking a defense only guy.  I don't care for Jefferies.  He seems like an injury prone Matt Barnes minus the 3 point shot.

Sure they would. They dump an extremely overpaid player and get the two best players in the deal. Why would the C's do it though? Jeffries would struggle to break our rotation and we wouldn't have any backup wings at all...

is Jeffries that bad?  I admit I don't follow the Knicks that much and I remember him being a nice player for the Wiz.

maybe I'm just out of touch! lol

He's a very wimpy guy.  Like POB with much better quickness.  Thats why he ended up guarding Rondo in that game.  Our bigs would have knocked him off the court.  But, if Ainge thinks we need a 6'11" guy to guard Mo Williams and Derrick Fisher... haha.

I doubt Ainge would even entertain trading Scal & TA for another POB type of player. Isiah Thomas really screwed the knicks.

I would like Jeffries on the team, but not with the contract he has.

Ugh, he is one of the worst offensive players in the NBA. His contract is horrible. I would only be interested in him if he was making the minimum...

I dont like this. he is averaging 4.8 points in 22.7 minutes per game. He has only played in 31 games (22 starts). Defensively he is only averaging .6 steals and .7 blocks per game. Terrible stats with his awful contract = bad deal

I haven't caught Jeffries much lately but i did watch him on "Hardwood Classics" recently where he almost singlehandedly shutdown Lebron in a 2005 or 06 playoff game while playing for the  Wizards.Im not saying he is a regular defensive stopper like i saw in 1 game, but it did tell me he has the capabilites of being a good defensive player.

I never thought I would say this but, I rather have Scal than JJefries....

...add TA and the trade becomes a steal for the Knicks.
