Marion to Toronto for O'Neal, Moon

Toronto gets out of the mistake of trading for O'Neal, and Miami gets a decent low post player to pair with Wade.  It'll be interesting to see how O'Neal reacts to playing with a guy on D-Wade's level.  I think it'll rejuvenate him (along with Miami's lack of a frontcourt) to a 16-8-2blks player again.

The biggest news in that trade, as far as I'm concerned, is that the Heat are getting Moon. Obviously, there hasn't been any time to really analyze this trade, but my quick take is that with Moon, Miami got a great deal. Of course, Toronto is probably pleased that they were able to unload O'Neal - it cost them Moon, but it may have been worth it.

But man, the Moon thing surprised me.

Werent people saying this when he was paired with Bosh? what happened? hes done..and Im scratching my head as to why anyone would want jermaine

He expires before 2010, can still contribute and rids Marcus banks and adds Moon... I love this deal for Miami...

Great unload for Toronto.  Why in the world Miami would want JO's battered body and bad contract is beyond me.  The guy is done as a star.

I dont even know what to think of this. I guess Miami gets a Decent Big who can possibly help them out in that Dept. Marion is a nice Piece for Toronto. I guess have to wait and see.

Guess you're right. Didn't think they were improving much as far as cap space goes next year for it really to be worth it (like the amount they'd go under the cap). Guess it'll depend on their offseason plans.
