Okay, I have to get this off my chest.

Dennis and Callahan are in my humble opinion the rudest, most crass and most frustrating show on the radio.  I flat out can't stand them.

I have been checking out weei.com recently due to so many of the writers jumping over there, and they have a section that plays snippets of the day's shows.  During the course of a week, I may listen to 2-3 sound bites, 90% of them from the midday show.  This evening, I saw that D&C had the author of the new Manny book on, so I tried to give it a listen.

The two hosts flat out mugged the guest.  I have never heard a more rude treatment to a "neutral" guest (exception: political extremists going on shows of opposite views).  They were essentially blaming the author for everything Manny had done wrong.  They were literally shouting down this woman and it was vile.

I'd suggest you listen for yourself, but I can't do that.

There's a reason why I listen to Mike & Mike, which is class through and through.  It's just a shame, because I'd like to hear the local angle in the morning, but they make it impossible.

Thank you.
Call me a sap, but I love my kids more than anything!

TP SS just for bringing up a subject that i completely agree with.

I cant stand them. Ive always thought they were miserable, but they went over the top with their handling of sean taylor's shooting.

Unfortunately, I have to drive to school everyday when they are on.  My new solution that I am so happy about.  I download the Sports Guy's podcasts from Itunes and listen to them instead of that miserable twosome
Looking for a Sig designer....obviously i will be greatful with tps.

Looking for a Wire - Rondo theme....PM with ideas and I'll tp

I gave all 3 of you TPs because I feel very strongly in agreement about this.

I have no problem with people expressing their political views, in Callahan's case he happens to be an extreme right winger.  What I do have a problem with is when someone expresses their views in an arrogant, mean-spirited, and condescending fashion.  When Gerry was out last summer and Dennis stuck to sports, I gotta say it was very good.  But as soon Gerry got back the show became unbearable again.

And to those who will say "If you hate them so much, don't listen!"  Believe me, I stopped.

Soooo glad Toucher and Rich moved to the AM and I have entertainment on the radio in the morning...hooking up my iPod gets a little boring sometimes...

Good God they are funny in the mornings... I made that same switch D+C to T+R and it was the best move I've ever made.

They replayed the Adolfo "smoking" segments today, where they played Seger's Turn The Page brass intro every time he talked about smoking with the guys. I was dying laughing
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

CDawg, you are right.  Recently when Gerry was out sick, Felger filled in and the conversation was sports.  I don't mind right wing talk (I occasionally listen to both Michael Graham and Jay Sevrin) I hate hateful talk (Sevrin is guilty of this too) and Callahan is full of hateful talk.  When he's removed from the equation it's a much better product.

WBCN... They are out all week on vacation but it's a great show catch some of the best of segments

Interesting.  How things change.  I worked there for 3 years and now I barely even listen to them.

i usually hate them as well, but i disagree with you on this clip. "being shy, and being focused" is not an excuse for the things they ask.

also, i love T&R, listen everyday at work.

on the other hand Adam 12 is a dork.

Yelling at this woman as she's stringing together what is more than a two sentence answer is rude.  Those two came prepared with incident after incident and peppered her over them as if she was defending them, which she was not.  I don't think she got a fair chance to talk.

The only downside is they take so many more commercials now than they did in the afternoon drive, but very entertaining stuff most of the time.

I liked T&C in the afternoon better. I can't listen as much as I did before but they're by far the best radio show though.
