  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
JR Smith's behind the back dunk from like 3 years ago is one of my personal favorites.

That dunk should have gotten more points.

I think JR is going to take it this year.

People go between the legs all the time, spinning..but no one ever goes behind the back. It looks as cool as between the legs, but no one ever does it. Why?

It must be a lot harder than it looks, as stupid as that seems.

Why don't the big stars participate in the Dunk Contest like they used to?  Yea Dwight Howard is in it, but this contest used to have a lot of big names in it.  I'd wish it'd be Lebron, Kobe, Vince, and Dwight Howard.  That'd be a nice dunk contest.

JR smith is good, but I was really hoping they'd put Joe Alexander in it.  I bought in to the hype from his nbatv interview.  oh well...

I was hoping someone from OKC would get in. Seriously watching their games is so entertaining. It seems they make the highlights every night they play.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Rudy Fernandez's videos promoting his dunks for that contest thing was a complete joke. I think he won because he's from Spain and he was getting some votes for that. Joe Alexander had some ridiculous jumps in his videos and could put on a better show.

for the dunk contest http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/57154/20090210/jr_smith_replaces_rudy_gay_in_dunk_contest/
why not josh smith instead.. come on!

Josh Smith was actually asked and turned down the opportunity to rest his back. Can't find the link, but it was on realgm about a week ago.

Oh I agree, I think Fernandez was actually the worst out of the 3 rookies having a chance to be in it.

JR is a good dunker, I would have preferred to see Gerald come back.

I don't like that selection at all.  They had the contest with the 3 rookies to see who would get the most votes.  I think the guy with the 2nd most votes should get the nod.  Smith is a pretty unlikeable guy.
