JR Smith's behind the back dunk from like 3 years ago is one of my personal favorites.

Thanks for that, completely forgot about that dunk. Absolutely ridiculous!

I'm actually pretty excited that JR Smith got invited, I thought we were in for a letdown of a dunk contest before him:

I didn't have high hopes for Rudy Fernandez
Can't imagine Nate Robinson has anything left that we haven't already seen
Same, to a certain degree with Dwight
And Rudy Gay's never really wow'd me.

Atleast JR Smith could potentially mix it up. I mean, the guy can do a between the legs dunk in NBA 2k9 fairly regularly!

  • TRANSFORMATION INTO CHAMPION COMPLETE!!!
Rudy Fernandez's videos promoting his dunks for that contest thing was a complete joke. I think he won because he's from Spain and he was getting some votes for that. Joe Alexander had some ridiculous jumps in his videos and could put on a better show.

Oh I agree, I think Fernandez was actually the worst out of the 3 rookies having a chance to be in it.
I don't want him in it just becuase of the way he played that guitar in his commercial.

TP, for some reason that bothered me too.

JR is a good dunker, I would have preferred to see Gerald come back.

did you read the article where GG says that they offered him, and his family wanted him to, but he said he's taking it off this year to stress the point that he's more about what's good for the Mavericks, and showing that he's not just a dunker?f
(haha kindof a run on sentence)

i think i posted it here a while ago.

People go between the legs all the time, spinning..but no one ever goes behind the back. It looks as cool as between the legs, but no one ever does it. Why?

It must be a lot harder than it looks, as stupid as that seems.

It is, because I tried to do it (t a shorter basket of course...) and I was totally unable to synchronize my moves and getting the ball behind the back takes much time! I think this dunk needs some kind of good technique, apart from the jumping ability!
