Awesome news, Ray deserves it definitely. It's always bizarre when Stern gets something right, you just know two things have to go wrong later. I guess with every travel and carry by Lebron and Dwyane, we are slowly going to be paying him back.

That's awesome.. Imagine Howard, KG, LeBron, Allen and Pierce on same team..

That reminds of this picture, which just might be the ultimate team...

If you got rid of that guy in the middle and added Kendrick Perkins.  ;D

Finally!  We (The Commish and us) agree on something!  (Does anyone even remotely get this reference?)

I hope Mike Brown doesn't read CelticsBlog... or else he might be tempted to play our guys 40 minutes each.   ;D

Happy for Ray, But I was kinda hoping they just sent Mo Williams, we dont need the cavs taking things like this personal and Ray probably could've used the rest.. but he should've been an all-star over nelson all along is the real problem

Great. Even though he should have been on the team in the first place, but I'm glad to see Ray Allen on the team this year. He really deserved to be an all-star.

Mo Williams and Rajon Rondo were candidates, but David Stern and the NBA went with the familiar face of Ray Allen as Jameer Nelson's All-Star replacement.

Allen will be making his ninth All-Star appearance.

The Celtics' shooting guard was also an injury replacement during the 2008 All-Star game, but is widely believed to be more deserving of the spot this season despite the presence of other guards.

Allen scored 28 points in the game and was considered an MVP candidate that day, but the award went to LeBron James.
