One hyphenated word sums up JR's rookie season thus far, and that word is YO-YO

I did like his dancing though.

How does Yo-Yo sum it up?  He was riding the bench, sent to the D-league, came up for a bit of a "rest" as Ainge put it, and now he is going back.  To me it seems like a pretty standard season for a project.

Indeed. Hopefully his wrist is better too.

Am I the only one who doesn't care?

His character issues aside, as well as the fact that he's a Lakers fan, the kid looked lost in the preseason.  Lost.

Gerald Green, part deux.  Sayonara.
God bless and good night!

I would hate to see the Celtics simply cut a player on which they invested a draft pick, coaching and money.  Can we just put him on the injured list with his wrists for the rest of the year to protect him from being picked up by a rebuilding team and develop him for 2-3 years down the road?

I am all for bringing in some vets, especially free agents.  But not throwing away prospects for free.
"You're skating on pretty thin ice around here, McGee!"
"Sounds like the ice's problem."

2 for the Show!
GO CELTS!

I don't think there is any chance he is cut.  He has a guaranteed contract.  If they need to make roster space, he is likely 3rd in line to be cut, but they will likely be trying to trade him instead.

Complete nonsense and irrelevant.

Too bad he didn't at least get some of the readily available garbage time that was there during this current win streak. Don't know Doc's thought process sometimes.

That would be too logical, footey.  It obviously, strangely, makes much more sense for Rivers to play his 30+ year old starters in 30 point blowouts with the game out of reach.

I think this will prove costly in the postseason.  Rivers could have easily shaved 3-5mpg off of the starter's minutes without changing the outcome of a single blowout game during the two streaks.  He could get a lot more of an indication of what he has if Pruitt, O'Bryant, Walker, and Giddens were playing those minutes that the starters had no business playing.

As things are, sending Giddens back where he can get some playing time is a good move.
