Man o man, I have a bad feeling about tonight's game.  With Thursday's rematch against the Lakers looming large and with the current winning streak looming almost as large the Celtics are prime for an upset tonight.  Throw in the flu bug and a concussion and I think we'll see the Celts lose tonight.
Call me a sap, but I love my kids more than anything!

Yeah I'm feeling the same way and Philly has been playing better lately.   Hope we are both wrong.

If they were 100% healthy, I could see this as possibly being a trap game.  But with KG, Tony and Scal all out of the game, there should be extra focus from all the players.  I just hope Paul doesn't try to take matters into his own hands.  Iguodala has always given him problems, and I don't want to see the offense getting stagnant and Pierce forcing up shots.

I dont think its a "trap game" at all...the celtics know what the 6ers are capable of, and last year they fell into the trap, so they are well aware, if they lose, they got outplayed not trapped.
and is it weird that last time we played LA, it was the sixers we beat 2 nights before? id rather we lose tonight, not give LA another chance to stop a win streak

and wasnt it andre iguodola who whined and complained last time we beat them?

Looks to me like Iquodala has has most of the problems with Pierce

Iguodala gets in transition and he'll cause problems

We need to play D first. Hopefully we see a nice contribution from BBD and Leon.

There will be enough guys getting major minutes that do not usually get those type of minutes that the team will be aware.

Will be glade to see the Pruitt/House backcourt again.

Freaking newbies, what do they know!!! ;) ;D

In December between the Hawks game and the Lakers games people were talking about trap games too. The Celtics won each of those games by 19. I am not sure with the one game at a time focus this team has that trap games are possible. I think they understand that every game is the 7th game of the NBA Finals for every team they face, every night.

I see a close game due to New York's ability to score and the lack of personnel for Doc but exoect the C's to win going away.

EDIT: Got ahead of myself. Thought they were playing NY tonight. I still expect a win in Philly.

trap game?

Well I mean obviously there is a big focus to the lakers game where if we win tonight we'll be walking in with a 12 game winning streak and it will be a finals rematch and you know the lakers haven't been playing that great lately...just good enough...and it would be such a kick in the newts if the lakers broke our big win streak...

Man I feel like I've said some of this before.

We still have the big three... Pierce, Ray, and of course Rajon. Hopefully Rondo will decide to be agressive on the offensive side of the ball and look to score. If he looks for his shot tonight and gets into the lane for easy layups and kickouts, it should't be too difficult for the C's to win by ten or more.

*For the record, I def. wasn't saying I think Rajon is better than KG, or could ever replace his value to us.*

Like minds.  It shouldn't be a trap game with so many key players out.  I actually expect a rather comfortable win with Philly making a few runs.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
The Celtics probably want to maintain there winning streak until thursday. Thursday they will try to make the Lakers a part of it, in order to makeup for the previous loss, and ended winning streak. The Celtics definitely still have the players to crack this one open. I don't think Philly can beat us without Brand. If it's backcourt vs. backourt I've got my money on Rondo, Allen, and Pierce. This will no doubt be a sloppy game, but they'll pull it out.
