Was just tuning into the Lakers/Griz game & saw the replay. Kobe falls back into Bynum hyperextending his right knee pretty bad. He was on the floor for a long time obviously in a lot of pain. Had to be carried back to the locker room. Very ironic Bynum injured his knee last year also against Memphis. Not for sure but I think this might be the same knee he blew out in high school. Mitch Kupchak is probably wishing he would have held off on that contract extention if it turns out to be serious.

Edit: Preliminary report is a sprained knee pending x-ray & MRI.

Announcers saying the Lakers think it is a sprain, but they will not know until tomorrow. They say the x-rays were negative, but he needs to get an MRI and other tests tomorrow in New York. They say Bynum has not been able to put any weight on the knee.

If hes out for a significant amount of time boy oh boy the lakers fans are gonna be impossible to listen to, considering bynum is shaq, wilt, bill russell, patrick ewing, hakeem olajuwon and kareem rolled into one ::)

Bynum was getting to much attention with some high scoring games.  Kobe couldn't deal with it anymore.

Well, if the league wasn't going to punish Bynum for what happened to Wallace, Kobe decided to do it.

For his sake, I hope he is okay.  Karmic payback for taking out Gerald Wallace?
