Doc touched on this this morning on WEEI, but you'd have to blind to not see what has developed between these two over the last few weeks (and even if you were blind you could still listen and know).  KG & Rondo have been connecting with each other for beautiful pass after beautiful pass of late.

Rondo to KG on the Alley Oop has been good for at least a bucket or two a game.  Rondo's oop passes have been spot on to the point where often times all KG has to do is guide the ball in with a light touch. KG handing the ball to Rondo from the post for an open layup has also been good for a hoop or two.  The whole team is feeding to each others strengths quite well these days, but above all, the growing trust KG & Rondo have in each other has made for some really entertaining offense.

100% agree with this post. Have you noticed Rondo wears the same finger guard on his left ahnd I think, sometimes...as KG does on his right.

I think these two have been steadily bonding since day one. Rondo looks like a short KG as well. Wouldn't suprise me if there is some big brother/little brother energy between these two and they both approach the game the same way, very relentless.

And as you mention, there recent play with the alley oops and hand offs has been aswome to watch.

Good call.

Yeah, these alley oops happened more frequently with Ray or Paul throwing the lob to KG last year and now they are happening all the time with Rondo and they are right on the money. They also have perfected that sweet give and go on the baseline. You can tell that they love playing together.

you see rondo after that sweet give and go last night? That skip/hopping run back to get a head pat from KG is the closest thing ive seen rajon do to smile after a play in a long time, They defintly love playing together.  :D

The Rondo/KG synergy/chemistry is my girlfriend's favorite aspect of watching the C's ;D

I file this and other chemistry/synergy aspects of the offense and defense under 'now playing together for the second year'.  Where you really see it is on defense.  I know the dunks and sweet passes are spectacular but I honestly have never seen defense played to this level.

I have been watching NBA games for the better part of 20 years now and I simply cannot recall an NBA coach admit on national television WHILE THE GAME IS GOING ON that their team simply had no idea how to get an open look or get a shot off [I'm talking about VG during the Magic game].  He basically said in the 3rd Q that the game was over.  To me that is CRAZY stuff.

These two are starting to look like one of the best alley-oop combo's I've ever seen.  Who was better?  Kidd to Kenyon Martin?

Doc referred to himself and Nique this morning, but he was funny, and said he wasn't nearly as accurate as Rondo...He'd just throw it up there and Nique would go get it.  Some of the alley oop passes Rondo throws are darn near goaltended by KG (I think one actually went in last week)

CP3-Chandler is pretty destructive when they have it rolling, just as an alley opp combo.

You're right, they don't call goaltending like they used to.  I remember a ton of Nique dunks without coming down from a rebound, but I don't remember many Doc to Nique alleyoops.  Sherm Douglas was very good at making the pass, but he didn't have great targets while he was here.

Yeah this is a nasty combo.  It helps that Chandler doesn't look for any offense other than this.

That's funny truth1...my girl puts up with every game. Her favorite players are Rondo, Big Baby and Scalabrine. She thinks Rondo is tough, Baby is hilarious and she calls Scalabrine "Snuggly". Go figure...

Yeah, the Rondo and KG is working great, and less noticed is the Pierce and House 2-man game that's been very effective with the 2nd unit.  Now Ray-Ray just needs a buddy  :(

I think rondo and ray are pretty darn in synch, rondo has multiple 2 man teams. :D

This topic reminds me of a line from some bit of finals coverage. I can't remember where.
