KG could still shoot if he was six feet tall though :)

They have been working great together. Actually I think Pierce is the only guy out of sync with the rest of the starters right now.

+1

By the way KG's natural position was SF, he just had to become(successfully) a PF in order to take advantage of his height! Oh, and remember, he doesn't want to be called a 7-footer, even though he is indeed... :P

I don't know whose fault is this but sometimes it feels that there are no plays including Pierce except for his own isolation plays...

That chemistry means that rondo is dam good point-guard. Last year rondo took a back seat to the big3 for his inexperience & lack of offense, this year he is the offense. The one man fast break, setting ray for 3's, KG getting open shots is all due to rondo maturing as a player. kinda excited to see what rondo will improve on next.

I love it. After catching a number of Cavs, Lakers, Magic and Celtics games the last couple weeks; i am completely confident saying the Celtics easily have the best starting line up in the NBA.

As a whole on offense and defense these guys are a pleasure to watch. The spacing alone is so crisp. Its good to be a Celtics fan.  ;D

These two are starting to look like one of the best alley-oop combo's I've ever seen.  Who was better?  Kidd to Kenyon Martin?

CP#-Chandler is pretty destructive when they have it rolling, just as an alley opp combo.
Yeah this is a nasty combo.  It helps that Chandler doesn't look for any offense other than this.

CP3 and Chandler leads the league in alley-oops, but maybe KG and Rondo are second?
Anything is possible!!!

What a difference a few weeks makes!  It's all sunshine around here -- and in the midst of the worst winter weather I remember in a long time.

I love the Rondo/KG synergy. Also love the Rondo/Ray tandem and KG/Perk especially on defense. Pierce is the odd man out I guess but he seems to this trail behind on fastbreak for 3 thing going with Rondo so he's not completely left out in the cold ;D

Yeah, the Rondo and KG is working great, and less noticed is the Pierce and House 2-man game that's been very effective with the 2nd unit.  Now Ray-Ray just needs a buddy  :(

Ray and Rondo hook up a lot too.  Most of Rondo's assists come from Ray, I think.  At least that's what it seems like.  IMO Rondo has worked on the stars one at a time.  First Pierce, mainly the trailer 3s, then he started with Ray and now with KG and now it's clicking on all cylinders. 8)

Anyone remember the DJ to Bird pass that was an eye contact play?
DJ was outside the circle and Bird had his man sealed under the basket. The pass was like a 90mph fastball just past the ear of the defender and Bird caught it like it was a feather and put it in.

I've always wondered why KG and Rondo didn't run the Chandler/Paul alley oop offense more often, and now they are really starting to fall in love with it. The results have been excellent so far. The real beauty in this too is there's a whole arsenal of stuff Rondo and KG do with their 2 on 2 iso offense, unlike Chandler (who can't hit a jumper)... Pick and roll, pick and pop, eye contact alley oop, or pick and "watch Rondo blow by everyone else on the way to the basket for a layup or inside dish to an open teammate for a dunk/layup or kick to the corner for Ray or Eddie for three." It's a mouthful, and by the time you're done saying it the play's over and the Celts are back on D.
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."
