I'm a TA hater too. Yeah, in the regular season he has a great game about 1 out of 12, and a decent game, like last night, about 1 out of 5, but the rest of the time he's a net negative. And all that really matters is the Fakers and Cavs in 7-game serieses, and there, the last thing I want is to be depending on TA.
How about TA, Powe and Giddens for an extended Joe Smith? The Blunder supposedly pursued TA in the off-season; Powe has upside (although he has disappointed this year), and Giddens could be a player in a year or two. Joe Smith still has several good years left, IMHO. Thoughts?
