Exhiled guard Stephon Marbury has confirmed for the first time that he has a verbal commitment in place with the Celtics should he be able to part ways with New York, and he believes the Knicks are playing kid games with him because they do not want him to win a championship with Boston, the New York Post is reporting."I know I'll be able to sign with two teams," Marbury told The Post."The question to be asked to the Knicks is: Are they fearful for me playing for another Eastern Conference team? My thing is, they shouldn't be fearful. They're trying to get under the cap for 2010. They shouldn't be worried about me. You had guys saying I was a distraction, I'm a cancer. If I'm all those things, wouldn't you want me to go to another team?"Via New York Post
If he has an offer from Ainge, isn't that considering tampering since he's still a member of the Knicks?

So no it won't be tampering. Though I doubt Danny will comment on it until Marbury is officially bought out.
I just wanted to post this. [dang].

Probably not trading Marbury, but a smaller deal that would include cash to the Knicks to help buyout Marbury.

I just wish we could end this Marbury in NY saga. This buyout is really taking forever
