I'll take the good the bad and the ugly. The low shooting percentage and the fact he can't jump.  The fact is he has played 702 minutes as of last game seventh most on our team.
which means he is the second most important player coming off the bench. Minutes Don't Lie...
Whoever the coach gives the most minutes. Is the players he trusts the most. Baby has played slightly  more than Leon and has played more tonight, " as he hits a 16 foot jumpshot with 2:20 left in fourth quarter"  He has played great defense against howard, His shot is getting better he's a good passer.

And there is something about having a guy that should be a Left tackle in the NFL. He could make more money for the patriots, He'd start over Matt light.  Did you see him bumping with dwight howard after the play? He's not scared of him physically. He's actually stronger than Dwight. Which not many people can say in the Nba.
All I'm saying is I'm coming to like the 6'6"  330 pound chubby kid from LSU. And I think you should too.

His outside jumper has been going down the past two games but when it doesn't it is frustrating. I do kinda feel bad that Scal is getting Powe's minutes though. I know Powe can be a black-hole in the post sometimes but he still gets you a ton of second chance points.

He played the second most minutes again. Second only to eddie house. He played important minutes down the stretch and helped us win the game.

I was a big Powe guy last season.  He provided energy & punch to that lineup.  It do not think he has gotten much better and he hasn't been able to react to the increased attention he is getting.

I was down on BBD at the beginning of the year because he seemed to force things.  I will say that he is playing very well with the starters and his 15 footer is starting to become a nice tool to help that second unit transition team spread the floor. Good for the kid he's earning his PT.

he played great in the 4th on both ends...if he can keep hitting that jumper the bench gets a lot better

So where are all the Baby haters tonight??  He played the second most minutes again. Second only to eddie house. He played important minutes down the stretch and helped us win the game.

I´ve never been a Baby EDIT: "not-friend", look at my sig.

And yes, he was great tonight.
Is this an "I told you so" thread, or a "tribute to the pugnacious papoose"-thread?
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

When Leon is playing as poorly as he has been, its hard not to support Glen Davis as the "front man" of their duo. Leon was struggling and looking for contact for a while, and Glen was playing alright, so Doc started going with Baby more and more, and that has thrown Leon off more and more. Leon needs consistent minutes and the knowledge that he will play in order to be effective. He hasn't had that, because he's played poorly, and because he's played poorly, he hasn't had that. Its a downward spiral.

Nice game by Glen. There was a stretch in the 4th where I found myself saying, "uhh, Glen Davis is the only one doing anything right now". So kudos to him, I thought he was the 2nd or 3rd best player on the floor tonight.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

BBD had a huge game tonight. I've criticized him a ton but he's playing well of late and was a big factor in our win.

Doc is just showcasing him, it's the only explanation.

I never hated on Baby but the facts are he has definitely motivated himself to be better, since that nationally televised crying scene, he sure has improved his game and for me at least has taken over Powe in a sense that he has added that baby hook which even D Howard wasn'nt able to block and that nice elbow jumper from 12-15 feet which opens up leon Powe and KG for offensive Boards.

If Baby keeps this up which im sure he would, I'd be interested to see a combo of him and Perk on the floor as baby can space out a bit for Perk down low...HOW I wish Baby had Perk's height, he would have given Howard more fits.

While making sure he gets his daily workout done.

Glen was excellent tonight, really shows how valuable that jumper can be against a center like howard who doesn't have the footspeed/ desire to close, I still like both players (leon and baby) based on match ups. I don't think tis an either/or situation.

and yea, count me as one of those tired of this "OHHHHHHHH IN YOUR FACE PEOPLE THAT DON"T AGREE X PLAYER IS GREAT, HOW YOU LIKE ME NOW!!!!! WOOOOOOO!" crowd thats going on for certain groups over who's better leon or baby.

When people criticize a bench player, it does not mean they want them to get hit by a bus on the way home, or fail out of the league. it means they have a different opinion than you of a players skill set, and want to talk about it.

I really see it as a balancing act. Some people that dislike some players really go overboard when they want to talk crap about him. Sometimes quite unreasonably.
